POFQ or ASMo??

Right now i have a free dining pin for a mother daughter trip 12/19-12/24. My daughter is 8 and this will be our second trip, although she was only 3 the first time so doesn't remember much. We are currently booked at ASMo with FD but an upgrade to the DDP from the QSDP. I just priced out rooms with the rumored RO discount and it looks like it would be just under $150 more to move from ASMo to Port Orleans French Quarter if the room only discount comes out, assuming we kept the DDP but paid out of pocket for it. Any thoughts on if moving to POFQ would be a good move for us? is it a kid friendly resort? my daughter will want to swim and we will likely be taking some mid day breaks so food courts and location are important.

POFQ! It has a really fun looking serpent pool slide, pretty grounds, fun theming around the pool, adequate food court, and 15 min easy stroll to Riverside. They are sister resorts and pool hopping is allowed. Also boat to DTD. You would enjoy POFQ more!!

As for RO discounts, POFQ is always excluded, but you can get the free DDP promo there. What is the cost difference between upgraded free DDP at a value, and free DDP at POFQ? That's what you'd have to look at to see if the upgrade would be do-able for you. If your looking at RO only discount, you'd have to switch to POR-Riverside.

i just emailed my TA to ask about uing my oin with POFQ, if it is availabel it should only be about 100 more so i may go with that. if not what is POR like? is it worth upgrading to?
