POFQ Jazz schedule

Last year when DH and I stayed at POR there was a jazz sax player who played in the lounge at POFQ. We only saw him once, but DH would really like to see him again this year (he LOVES jazz music!). We are staying at CSR, so will have to make a special trip to see him. Does anyone know the days there is live jazz music, and what the hours are? Thanks!

I do know that the jazz player is Elliot Dyson. He gave me his card when I was there in November, 2005. It gave his Email: elliot@elliotsyson.com He also has a CD for sale at cdbaby.com/elliot dyson. I also think he has his own website. He used to play Wednesday through Sunday at POFQ, and he also used to play regularly at PI Jazz Company. BTW, your DH has good taste-DS is getting his master's degree in jazz (already has his bachelor's degree in the same), so we're a jazz-lovin' family!

Thanks for starting this thread ! I LOVE JAZZ, I have been to POFQ 3 times, and I nver new about the jazz player, I'll be there in 8 days (todays over ) and I will enjoy

Ha! Your thread reminded me of such a great memory of POFQ! I almost forgot about that musician! I loved going to see him at that lounge, it was so relaxing. What a great added touch that was to that resort!
