It's Hot.

It's Humid.

It's Crowded.

Your ice cream/ Dole Whip melts at the very thought of it!

Let's face it, we who brave WDW in July are a hearty bunch....or maybe we're just dang crazy, BUT I love it. How about you. I actually prefer to go in July over any other month. It's like Africa hot! We still do Commando style touring and the kids truck right along. It's just something about those semi -thrill ride seats sticking to your backsides that gets us I guess. Sometimes I like to sling my head side to side and throw sweat out to all my fellow Julyer's out there. Kind of like being in a mosh pit (without the beating). Armpits are soaked, hair is drenched, and there is a certain smell in the air (it's not me...I swear!). Smells like ....victory. I could not resist throwing in an Apocolypse Now quote. It's a man thing I guess.:confused3. I look over to my wife who has consistently yelled for me to slow down and walk slower and she looks slightly melted, but has a smile on her face. The kids who are teens are screaming for more. I just pat her sweaty little hand and tell her to come on! Yes, July is the best WDW time of all. We don't take breaks in the middle of the day. That is for sissies. :scared:

We are headed down July 22 to July 31st. Staying at POFQ--my favorite resort. Who else is ready to brave stiffling heat and humidity to get their WDW on?

We will be joining in the hot, humid, stick to the seat disney we love! July 28-August 7!:cool1: (we may stop for a swim though:rolleyes1 )

We'll be there July 17-22, almost the same time as we were three years ago.

Living here in St. Louis, we're used to hot and sticky weather.

I am from the north..land of polar bears and igloos..lol..and yes we are also braving the July Florida heat.

Will be guests at the POP..have only stayed at moderates before..but have heard great things about the POP..so I am excited..!

Our trip is from July 7 to 14th and I am counting down the days!

WE..are me, mom, niece 11 and nephew 8...!!!

:wizard::woohoo::dance3::cheer2:

Well, we are not staying at POFQ, but as DVC members we may pool hop over there. This is to make up for a promise during a christmas 2004 trip. It was christmas eve and we spent our last night of the trip at POFQ because we were out of points. It was a drizzly and miserable 40 degrees and my dear sweet DD wanted to swim. :scared1: Being the good mom I am I told her no and promised her a pool hop someday.

Anyway we are staying at AKV Jambo from July 25 - 30.

Oh and being from Texas the heat and humidity don't bother us too much. We get up early and hit the parks and then back to the resort during the heat of the day.

Headed to POFQ for our annual Mother-Daughter trip July15-24 and cannot wait  :yay:

It will be our first time in July (we used to go at the end of August) and I'm looking forward to the extended mid-summer Park hours and some toasty morning pool time before heading out for the day! :cool1:

Hope everyone has a Magical vacation!!!!!!!! :thumbsup2 :wizard:

We will be at the World July 11-19, staying at POFQ as well! Honestly, I'm a bit nervous about POFQ, since we've only ever stayed at AKL. But DH said if we want to do a 9 day trip instead of 5, something had to give. :sad2:

Psyched to be going back, at any rate! What ADR's do y'all have?

You will like POFQ. If you are set on AKL and really consider that to beyour "home" resort, you may not like POFQ quite as much, but you will like it. It is small and quiet. Transportation is very good. Take the boat to DTD one afternoon or evening to dine andshop.

we are going to stay at POP July 9th-11th. just 2 nights. we are also braving universal this year. although in NC now I'm a FL girl so heat and humidity wont bother me

Sorry - was there last September and couldn't handle the heat....
The only heat I have to handle now is telling DH that I booked our WDW trip this morning for December:rotfl2:. (but he knows that I was looking at going - the fact I actually DID it may be a shock). I too am from the land of polar bears and igloos but I just couldn't do it again...my ankles looked like water balloons by the end of the day....

I admire the OP's hardcore stance! DW and I typically go in July because she's a school teacher. July is when I used to go with my parents, and the tradition continues to this day. There is something about the brutalness of July that's special. It drives us, or as we like to say during a 2 AM EMH at MK, "KEEP IT ROLLIN'!"

We'll be there 7/20 - 7/27. We have mad love for POFQ, but this time, we're staying at our most beloved WL. Don't hate.:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

Countdowns and "Whos Going with me" threads are kept on the Countdowns board.. and I've moved this one here as a result.

Thanks,

POFQ - July 13 - 21!!!!

Can't wait! Pop is our favorite resort but I am sure we will enjoy FQ!

Are you guys decorating your windows and wearing LGMHs?

We will be there for the first few days in July. I need to go pick up my lime green Mickey head. Hadn't thought about decorating my window and we don't have a lot of time left to plan. Maybe I can pick up an extra Mickey head and post that.
