Podcast Cruise 3.0 - 06/24/2012

Yes! Next Year, indeed!

We're going to put a shout out in March to see if there are any Podcast 3.0 cruisers living in or near Wisconsin for a pre-cruise cookout and meet-up! Maybe some time around June 24, eh?

We'll find a good central location to everyone who wants to come along! (Well, relatively close, though. If some Orlando folks want to come, it probably doesn't make sense to meet in Chatanooga. But I digress ... )

I loved meeting some of the Disers in person and of course seeing the Podcast recording live. For me though probably the best part was hearing my mom, who I took on the cruise (she doesn't listen), say "I loved watching them record that Disbang thing." I love her so much! I booked on-board for 3.0 and may be going by myself, however my best friend Kim is thinking about leaving her kids behind and coming along!

Nikki...I was very nervous about cruising...but I have to tell you...it was the best experience of my life !!!! Besides the fact that I got to share this with my girls...it was wonderful meeting some of the DISers in person (running into Pete on deck 9 was awesome !!!) ...wish I could have had more "face" time with them, but there was so much to do and see...it was great !! You will have a blast..I promise you. I can't wait to board the Dream in 2012.

i had to cancel out of PCC 1.0, then again from 2.0...
well, i just made my reservation for PCC 3.0.....
i hope it works out this time!!

i've had the opportunity to meet disers twice - at two different dis meets at WDW - both were so much fun, i can imagine what fun an entire cruise with disers must be!!

Maybe someone can help me, we rebooked onboard for a may 5, 2011 cruise, but tonight, we changed it to the June 24, 2012 cruise for my birthday. I just now found out this is the podcast cruise. Can i transfer my deposit to be included in all the podcast cruise things going on? How would that work? I got my 10% discount when we booked on board so we dont want to lose that. We also only had to pay 10% down for our reservation, so we dont have a lot down right now and dont want to lose our cabin either, anyone know how this would work for us?

Sorry but we are not accepting transferred reservations for Podcast Cruise 3.0.

Disney Cruise Line pays us less commission on a reservation that is transferred to us versus one that is booked directly. We use the commission we receive from Disney Cruise Line to pay for the extra events, guests, shipboard credit and 'goodies' we provide on the cruise. We cannot provide all of those things if we do not get our full commission from Disney.

My advise would be to 'save' that onboard booking and use it for a different sail date. Thay way you get to keep all of the perks of booking onboard and use it on another cruise.

We can even try to get the cabin you have now if it's one you are particularly fond of.

Couldn't resist the price and the chance to meet the Podcast crew in person, so I signed the family up for our first cruise. We actually were already saving up for a Disney Alaska cruise in June, 2012 so it worked out great. DW has always wanted to do a vacation to the sun and sand and beach, and the lower price allows us to pay for her sister and niece to go, too (new converts).

Have never been in a crowd of avid Dis'ers, so that and the cruise will be new experiences. Also, have never posted on the boards, so I'm pulling out all the "new" stops.

Getting excited seeing all the videos of the Dream (must. . . . breathe. . . . slowly. . . . and. . . . calm. . . . down--it's still not until next year).Look forward to more as Pete and crew go aboard for initial sailings.
