Podcast Cruise 3.0 - 06/24/2012

Sorry but we are not accepting transferred reservations for Podcast Cruise 3.0.

Disney Cruise Line pays us less commission on a reservation that is transferred to us versus one that is booked directly. We use the commission we receive from Disney Cruise Line to pay for the extra events, guests, shipboard credit and 'goodies' we provide on the cruise. We cannot provide all of those things if we do not get our full commission from Disney.

My advise would be to 'save' that onboard booking and use it for a different sail date. Thay way you get to keep all of the perks of booking onboard and use it on another cruise.

We can even try to get the cabin you have now if it's one you are particularly fond of.

Couldn't resist the price and the chance to meet the Podcast crew in person, so I signed the family up for our first cruise. We actually were already saving up for a Disney Alaska cruise in June, 2012 so it worked out great. DW has always wanted to do a vacation to the sun and sand and beach, and the lower price allows us to pay for her sister and niece to go, too (new converts).

Have never been in a crowd of avid Dis'ers, so that and the cruise will be new experiences. Also, have never posted on the boards, so I'm pulling out all the "new" stops.

Getting excited seeing all the videos of the Dream (must. . . . breathe. . . . slowly. . . . and. . . . calm. . . . down--it's still not until next year).Look forward to more as Pete and crew go aboard for initial sailings.

We're at Disney now (nap time) and my almost 7 year old keeps telling me that he wants to go on a Disney cruise. He's probably mentioned it 10 times already. It's hard not to tell him that we ARE going on a Disney cruise!!! It makes me even more excited!

We did Podcast Cruise 2.0 last month and had a blast.
It's so much fun seeing so many friendly faces. We all wore the DIS lanyards they provided which made it super easy to strike up a conversation with anyone at any time.
There is so much to do- both on your own and with other DISers. I am sure all of you will have a great trip.
And hang out here on the boards and start posting- we're all friendly. I am still a little on the quiet side when it comes to posting, but it gets easier (and more fun) all the time.

Sure is fun to see some of the daily posts on this thread! We're excited, despite there being so many months to go!

My wife is having major surgery (more than one, actually) on January 26 . . . an auspicious day because it's also the launch date for the Dream! That should add to my optimism, no? It will be a triumphant walk onto the ship for us in June 2012!

I've decided that I don't like the location of the room that I've been assigned for PCC 3.0.....I got some pricing (Thanks Tracey) and now I have to talk to the family and see what we want to do, and who is going on this one....still can't decide if I want a verandah or porthole.....we had an interior room on PCC 2.0 and it was fine since we didn't spend any time in the room except to sleep and shower....but it would be cool to have my morning coffee watching the sun come up....decisions....decisions....

FWIW, we like to have a veranda. In good weather (not true on PCC 2.0) its nice to spend an afternoon quietly on the veranda with a glass of wine and some cheese and crackers from room service.

i liked having a verandah on our cruises - it's not that i spent all that much time out there....but i definitely did go out there.....
i wake up before everyone else, so i sat out there watching whatever was happening (watching us dock in CC and nassau).
and it's just nice sitting out there and watching the water...something very relaxing about it....on our first cruise i said to my husband - i get the yacht thing now....i can understand how people can just sit out on their yachts and stare out at the water....i can't put it into words, but i enjoyed it.....now if i could only find a billionaire to adopt me so that i could actually have a yacht...

Just off the Magic Saturday....booked our June 16th cruise on the Fantasy and a dummy date for Aug 2012 which we hope to move to Podcast 4.0 in Dec 2012 Anxiously awaiting the rest of 2012's DCL dates!!! It would be our first Podcast cruise............(we are DU clients and named our TA Beth Fejer at the time of booking )

my husband isn't into the podcasts either, but he was really looking forward to PCC 2.0 after i told him all about the super nice disers i met when i was at WDW in june on my own.
In the end, we had to cancel, but hopefully, 3.0 will finally work out for us. I can't wait. Truth is, it seems far away, but i'm sure it will go fast....after all, we're already in 2011...2012 will be here in no time!!
