Sorry this is OT but some of you know I've been following Epic Mickey closely. New this week, Warren Specter is already talking "sequel" for this game. :thumbsup2

And yesterday a collectors edition was announced. Cool stuff. :goodvibes Still no actual release date though. Probably some time in November as has been hinted.

EMCollectible.jpg

For $69.99, the Epic Mickey Collector's Edition includes:

- Special packaging

- Disney Epic Mickey Game

- Exclusive 5 inch Collectible Vinyl Epic Mickey Figure

- Special Edition DVD with behind the scenes footage and additional marketing assets and videos

- Epic Mickey Stylized Wii Remote Faceplate

- 2 Epic Mickey Stylized Wii Console skins

I am oh so excited for this, George. Have you found any place that is doing pre-orders yet?

Yes Donna. Epic Mickey is a Wii exclusive.

:confused3 What exactly is Epic Mickey? The packaging and Wii controller cover look neat. Would it be something say Bill and I would be interested in or is it for the kids? Well, Bill and I are BIG kids. So, let me rephrase that ... :rotfl: What are the games like and how difficult? I am so not a gamer and got VERY frustrated with Toy Story Mania for the Wii. DS5 got a Wii last year for Christmas from Santa. However, it has become the family's Wii over time. ;)

:goodvibes Jennifer

I've not seen a pre-order for the collectible version yet Nikki but the base game can be pre-ordered here at Amazon.

And here at Best Buy.

BB shows an estimated date of November 16th.

I'm sure there are other places to pre-order like GameStop, TRUS, Target, Walmart, etc.

I thinks it's going to be a game the whole family will enjoy Jennifer. I don't believe you are going to need to be a hard core gamer to enjoy this.

The IGN game site has an Epic Mickey touchdown page. It should answer most of your questions.

The trailer released at GamesCON a few weeks ago is great.

Enjoy. :goodvibes

Folks....I posted this on the Podcast Cruise thread on the DCL Board...but since we have two parties going on....I'll post it here as well.

**************************************************************

You are just going to have to trust me when I tell you that there is NOTHING we'd like better to post the podcast cruise schedule of events.

This would be a HUGE accomplishment and take a giant work load off John and others. I can guarantee that John will have a little party when this happens.

The reason that this hasnt happened, is that scheduling this is a logistical nightmare. Where, on an already crowed ship, do you you put this many people.

John posted a thread asking people whether Castaway Cay was a good idea for a Podcast recording. You saw what happened with that. You, yourself questioned why we were doing that. The reason we're doing that is because finding a time and place to schedule the recording, a concert with Jodi Benson, a conversation with Bob Gurr, Charlie Ridgeway and Lee Cockerell and all of the other things we'd like to do, in already busy schedule, is like pushing an angry elephant uphill.

These are the BIG issues. There a bazillion smaller issues to deal with. (ex. Will DCL have an appropriate electrical connection for the recording equipment or musical equipment?) Each of these takes many, many, many phones calls and compromise.

Please understand that this is not the Dis trying to be coy or create anticipation. This is a whole bunch of people trying desperately to make sure that you have the very best experience possible and a choice of experiences you might not have a chance experience elsewhere.

We are trying, with everything we have at our disposal, to get this information out to everyone and to insure a successful event. And to hear that the "party has died" or that people are unhappy with us for whatever reason makes us wonder (no pun intended) what else we can humanly do to make this better/ easier/ faster.

I hope this makes things easier to understand.

Kevin, maybe I'm just out of the loop on things. I'm not understanding how posting on a different thread in a different place means people are upset about how things are being planned for this cruise. If we weren't all very excited about going on this cruise, we would cancel or book a different cruise. While I know that you guys are working very hard to plan this event, I am spending a lot of money to be on it, and if I didn't want to be there, I can still cancel. I think that we are all excited to be going on the cruise, and I don't want it to turn into anything other than that.

That people are posting on a different thread I don't think has anything to do with the fact that we don't know details. I think that for those of us that went on the last cruise we learned how much time and effort went into all of the details. Now we are just patiently waiting. That people have started posting on another thread is really no big deal. I'm sure that it gets watched by many and someone just posted something interesting, and it's taken off. If I had a party and planned on people being in my dining room and they moved to my living room doesn't mean that I didn't have a great party and that it's a different party. Now, if I had a party and people decided to go to the party down the street, well, then the party has moved.

And, just let me add, that I know how much work you guys put into these events, and we all appreciate it. I can't imagine how much stress is involved.

I just feel like I've missed something by some comments, and I don't get it, but maybe I don't need to.

This was in response to a post on the other thread referring to the fact that conversation had died due to us not releasing cruise details / schedules.

I've posted links to both threads because I wanted people to feel included.

There have been several posts saying that people didnt know there were two threads.

Now people know and they have the option of the dining room or the living room.

And because of the greatest sports trade in history, Oswald will be in it.

I think we just slowed down because you can only talk about the same stuff so much....

Is there a rumpus room?

I'm with you, my DIS wife. rawr.

Got it. I thikn that that just means that if you announced today that you are going to host a session of "How To Do The Hokey Pokey" that we would all be talking about it and how exciting it was. Since there has been nothing released, conversation is quiet. Not, we're leaving because you won't tell us anything.

BUT, I do think it would be a good idea for you to have a session where you teach us some kind of dance.

I'm attending both :rotfl2::rotfl2: Kevin, I really do appreciate all that you and everyone else is doing for this. :worship: I can't imagine the headaches you are having to organize such an event for the Large amount of people coming. My hats off to you all. I will be happy with just being there and whatever is planned for us.

Single Ladies! Single Ladies! Single Ladies! Single Ladies! Single Ladies!

:lmao: I caught our DS5 listening to the "Single Chipmunk Dance" yesterday on YouTube. :dance3: I was wondering what the heck it was from the other room.

- Bill

Single Ladies! Single Ladies! Single Ladies! Single Ladies! Single Ladies!

Sorry - the Single Ladies dance is no longer on the table :lmao:

The issue I am having is I don't want anyone to miss out on anything that's being said or planned. I just posted on that other thread a reply to the whole scheduling thing - now do I link to it or reference it :confused3

And, like Kevin's post above, if we post there and repost here and it doesn't make sense people seem to read into it hidden meanings.

I understand everyone is anxious for details about the cruise and that will spark conversation related to the cruise. As soon as I know anything I will post it - on the Adventures by Disney Board :rotfl2:
