Hi everyone...

Just checking in while I await the magic 3:00 pm hour so I can escape this place for the next week and half.

My flight leaves tomorrow, can't wait to get to Florida. Hope to see Alicia and Paul as well as Nicole while I am there. Anyone else going to be in town??
I so wish I was going to see you and the rest of the gang. Have a great time!

Wish I could come up with a question and have it read. I need a t-shirt!
I got a t-shirt over a year ago, but it doesn't fit quite right and I have never worn it.

Do rag. Maybe make a flag out of it. Just a couple ideas.

You are a DIS'er by God. Show it off! :goodvibes

Have a wonderful trip Kelly. :goodvibes

My mother can pack for a week in a back pack. Her advice would be a pair of underwear and socks for each day, the pair of pants you're wearing + one more and three shirts--even for the 18 days Tracey is going for. I get my packing habits from my grandma. We both enjoy bringing everything, including the kitchen sink,:goodvibes

You do not need a pair of underwear and socks for each day. Just a few pairs and wash every day. This is why you need the kitchen sink!

The pair of pants you're wearing + one more - plus a third, shorts or longs depending on the predicted weather.

and three shirts - long or short sleeved mix depending on the predicted weather.

Plus a layer for warmth/rain depending on the predicted weather.

And always, always pack a bathing suit no matter where you are going. It takes up very little space and you never know when you might need it! Not every place likes skiny-dipping!

Which is why I haven't been able to pack only a carry on for a weekend trip in years.....(but going to try for Hershey)

After your luck with flights - Carry-on is your best bet.

My mother's packing advice would be to pack layers and keep to a limited color scheme.

I plan on packing clothes for 4-5 days + a Long Sleeve t-shirt for layering and will be doing laundry multiple times during the trip. My winter weather wardrobe attire will be covered by my travel clothes on flight down. There is always Walmart in an emergency..

Yeah, sad, huh?
I couldn't decide from the size and style of the choices offered.
Okay, maybe it is a little me that makes the shirt just a little snug. But I still say the sizing was not very generous!

I was kidding. I also have one that I don't wear. Too tight. :sad2:

The T-shirt I got for my email last summer was a tighter fit than I prefer, so I don't wear it that often. When I ordered my shirt, I was expecting a Standard Crew Men's sized T-shirt and I ordered as such, but I was sent a Ladies cut T-shirt. This style shirt fits me differently than a Crew Style, so I would have ordered differently had I known in advance what to expect.
Heidi sent me a extra t-shirt she got when Cafe Press replace one she ordered last November for DAP that fit me better until I washed it.

Whoo hooo! :cool1:

This is post 4,500 for me. :goodvibes
Is that a milestone?

(I need to get a life!)

Hey George....Feeling a little crazy and brave today. :)

No worries Aaron. I heard he's leaving town for his happy place. :)

It's a large you two clowns! I owe both of you an indian burn, or maybe a noogie! pirate:

Now that is even funnier than Aaron's post. A large what? Tent? :rotfl2:

Very Nice Lyn. I see 5k in your future. Go get it girl. :)

DH used to bring one, literally. Had a van with a portable sink. ;)

On way to train station, van we have nearly bottomed-out. [He was on way to 100th BS Jamboree, foundry super at metal-working, so was carrying a bunch of stuff].

Might post more late tonight. Mom doesn't have wi-fi, and don't want to spend too much computer time during the day.

A quick :wave2: to everyone. No time for lots of comments and DIS fun. Work has been extremely busy. Hope to be back posting more frequently next week.

2.0 Update -

Last week one of the nonstop flights on Southwest I take went down to $99. It was a day earlier than my booked flight on 12/10. Since it involved a $60 total credit, I switched flights and took the 12/9. The only issue was there were no studio or 1BR DVC unit's available for 12/9.

I waited a couple of days watching my 12/9 waitlist and calling MS. I finally bit and just changed the flight for the credit without a room for Thursday. I had some options other than DVC that I was willing to fall back on if needed.

The fun part. :) On Monday during a quick break between work meetings, I called MS. Korby is my new best MS agent. :lovestruc She found me a Std View studio at BWV for Thursday. So it pays to call frequently even if you have waitlists. I swear this is the 2nd time I've circumvented the waitlist system. So if you really want something, you need to call. :goodvibes

See you 12/9..... :yay:

Morning! Happy Friday Eve!

I am expecting to have a very busy day! Another one of those back to back days only instead of meetings in the afternoon it is going to be with a TV producer who is working on a feature of our newest program for veterans.

Have a great day everyone!
