"MURPHY" has a tendency to move in to the spare bedroom at the most in opportune times.

"Murphy" seems to make regular appearances. But it is planning for the visits that I have focused on - just hate when the visits occur. I don't like to see things go down.

I live by Dave Ramsey's philosophy - Make sure you have a Emergency Fund in place and don't spend more than you can afford.

At 8:30, I was tired and decided I would go to bed and to sleep early.


Instead, I brought the iPad into bed. Read some different sections of the boards. Then popped over to this thread. Finally through reading and replying! Think I can get to sleep now?

Very good plan. One of my co-workers follows Dave Ramsey. she is trying to shovel out of a pile of debt that I can't even imagine.


I am ready to pay for then cruise as soon as we get the reminder email.

I need to remember to buy my park tickets in the next week.

Rest of the money is set aside and ready when needed.
Gotta say, it really helps not to have dependents, two legged or four legged.

Considering I started basically from scratch. I have been working on saving with a goal of 8 months of living expenses in my emergency fund and then I want to save $ towards a new car. It has been going well. My interim goal is for December of this year and I am on track to make it. But attorney retainers are killers!

Gee, with Ll the reading and posting I have done in the past hour, I was sure I'd have more posts.

I am so much more successful with virtual gardening/farming than in real life. Everything has dried up around here. I am trying desperately to keep my basil alive.

His Debt Snowball is the best way to work your way out of debt. I always had the philosophy to not expend what you could not afford.
