You should! It's our favorite!
Only one time out of the five did we have non talkers at our table. No matter what we did to include them in the converstion, they just kept to themselves. Which was actually quite interesting to me, because as you both know..Bob is a talker!
But really, your table mates are only strangers for a short..really short time.

It doesn't bother me - but you'll need to convince Gav ;) I don't know how anyone could ignore Bob though :lmao: even if you try :rotfl: he's a star and you just can't help but warm to him :goodvibes
But if you guys are up for a meal there I'll start a thread :thumbsup2 I'm sure we'll find enough to fill a table :woohoo:

Yeah I'm up for BG - I'm sure there will be a full table of us in six months time!

Helloooo Bob & Krissy. Hope you are both well !

I am planning on being on the Dining Plan for both my pre & post PCC 2.0 Stays. I will be very open to joining others for what ever we decide to do.

Happy February!!

Happy Monday & 1st-of-the-month, pinch-&-a-punch folks! :wave2:

No returns! :rotfl: DH got me last nite :sad2: but it I called foul since you can't wake someone to do it, and I had my eyes closed and was half-asleep already from the snuggles. We're calling it a draw ;)

I have decided that this has to be done for me. Within the last week, my bank card was comprimised, luckily the bank shut down my card prior to any theft, I lost a battle with a canteloupe and now the fish. That's 3 I should be back on track right?

Donna, what a fab fish funeral :thumbsup2 And you're right - on to only good things now! pixiedust:

Wow that pic is awesome :thumbsup2 Did you stitch the pictures together yourself or have you got a program that can do it? I've seen a Sony camera that will do a panoramic picture - it tells you when to start and when to stop and puts it all together! I think I may well get that camera - it does HD video too :thumbsup2

DH stitched it together with a program. Camera sounds very cool but don't tell DH about that it :tiptoe: ...he'll be wanting it :scared:

;)When we were looking at flights yesterday we saw that if we fly out a day earlier - Thurs 9th Dec
I'm hoping this means we can make it to MVMCP :santa:

 We're doing this too! :woohoo: Awesome that you booked flights already :thumbsup2

I want to try Beirgarten so will see if anyone is up for that (I don't think Gav wants to sit and talk to strangers so it's the only way we're gonna eat there )

Why not, he did that on the cruise! :lmao:

I'm hoping to try Le Cellier - for our first time - before DATW but if I can't get rezzies, we'd definitely be up for it :goodvibes

cheers,
:flower3:

Happy February!!

That sentence sounds very Swiss to me - neutral :lmao:

I agree. Good times! :)

I'm not quite sure what Todd is referring to? The 50's Primetime incident? :confused3

That's what I'm guessing, maybe all the people at the breakfast at Cape May Cafe too?

But I think if we have smaller groups it might be better?

:lmao: I got Gav in the car earlier - he said no fair, I said I didn't even do it that hard :rotfl2: But yeah, sounds like a foul to me - give him a red card ;)

The camera sounds really cool, still gotta check out what else is available (and cheaper) but it sounds so simple to use yet you can change settings if you want, almost an SLR but still a point and shoot :thumbsup2

Do you know where you're staying yet? We're hoping to get BWV for before the cruise although if AKL conceirge is available we'll do that (big If!!!) We wanted to get flights ASAP without getting ripped off, I think we did really well as they are cheaper than last year (I looked a couple of months out to get an idea what Dec was like)

I know DH met people on the cruise, I think it's non-Disers he's worried about (we seemed to meet a lot of 'interesting' people at smoking areas but a restaurant isn't as easy to escape from :rotfl:). He's not antisocial or shy or anything, just likes his own space at times ;) (as do I)

Looks like we've almost got a table full already :thumbsup2 Hope you get into Le Cellier, I enjoyed it but don't think it's amazing.

Most certainly the 50's Prime Time incident.:furious::furious:

:confused3 What happened with that...I either missed the story or have erased it from memory...(that happens a lot)

Happy Monday everyone!

Another "sick week" for me. We have managed to get a smaller bandage so i can now wear mittens. :cold:
My typing is still not where I need it for work though. I will try to see my Dr. this week and see what he says about it all.

More sewing for me this week, and I have to take DN home tomorrow. It has been nice having an extra set of hands for help, but he starts the next semester on Wednesday.

I really need to sit down with Carl and figure out pre and post cruise stays. And driving or flying. Now that we can't go to England in May, that changes vacation plans for the year. And I might move one of my weeks to go on one of those meets. :thumbsup2

Have a great day!

Me, too! About joining folks, that is.
Not sure if I will do dining plan or not.

Super abridged version-

ADR for 20 or so. Twelve of us show up. Entire section empty. They try to seat us at a table for 10. Begrudgingly they offered to also give us a table for two after some protest. After more words with 'management' the moved us all to another location. Empty section, still empty. They wouldn't seat us there because they had a group of 18 and a group of 24 with ADR's coming in.
A few DISers were quite upset. Emiel's blood pressure was about through the roof. At the new table, our waitress was in character and started spieling. She picked on the wrong person at the wrong time. Yvette calmly told the waitress to stop, which she did not. You could tell Emiel was getting angrier, so Yvette to the waitress to shut up and started speaking quickly in Dutch to Emiel, explaining that she was in character and trying to do her job. Yvette explained to the cast member what she had said and the cast member still continued.
By this point everyone was upset and we decided to not dine there. We opted instead for Backlot Express, where we pushed a bunch of tables together and made our own group dining experience.

Happy Monday everyone. Work is boring today, we got 9 inches of snow over the weekend, and it's a ghost town here today. Most don't want to drive in, for me I walked, as I live close.

Whoo Hoo.....my share of the Cruise and Pre Cruise stay is paid off. Now, all I have to do is wait to arrange for the airline. And, I still have 10 months to save money to spend in the World.

what a nightmare!

I say let's repeat the "do-it-yourelf" dining experience.

I still have to chuckle at the 12 of us trying to figure out how to sit around the table for 10, and then Tonya showed up. :lmao:
We have vowed NEVER to eat at 50's Prime Time again. :headache:
It was our first and last , and didn't even order.
The thing that got me was, we had an ADR for 21, yet they were not ready for us, but they were ready for the next group, and had 2 booths and a table side by side ready. :confused3
Even with the fact that we had 8 no shows (it was 13 after Tonya showed up) they still could not seat us close to each other, but in seperate rooms.
The whole thing from entry to leaving was about a 15-20 minute endeavour.
At one point, before Yvet let loose, staff were standing around us as if expecting a rumble. :lmao: and we weren't even mad yet.
It was a nightmare from the word go.
We had a great time at Backlot, which saved the day.

I guess that will be a bit more flexible - if people want to come and go they can :thumbsup2

I'd say if you will want to have a few table service meals then get it :thumbsup2 If not maybe the QS dining plan? We will still have a TS meal most nights even if it's not a group event.

I want to try Beirgarten so will see if anyone is up for that (I don't think Gav wants to sit and talk to strangers so it's the only way we're gonna eat there :lmao:)

Oooh, we want to try Beirgarten too!

We love Biergarten! Count us in too! :thumbsup2 It would be so much fun with a bunch of DISers! We could probably fill half the room, if not more! :dance3::dance3::dance3: And then we can dance!!:banana:

Biergarten sounds like fun!
We enjoy it there- and it's best with lots of friends! :dance3:
