To the people reading this thread who are going on PCC 2.0 - How often do you goin on a cruise? Some of you seem pretty excited about the new ship. How soon after PCC 2.0 will you be ready for another cruise?

Didn't hear this so thx for sharing the info. Sounds like a lot of groups trying to be on the Dream in 2011.

The PCC 1.0 was our first cruise in a long time. It was such a blast that DH suggested another cruise so we're going in 4 wks :eek:

to Panama Canal. Our next cruise after that will be 2.0. :thumbsup2

I'm thrilled with the Dreams announcements :banana:

How soon after PCC 2.0 will you be ready for another cruise?

As soon as PCC 3.0 is announced! :dance3:

It's gotta be on the Dream so whenever it is, we're prolly gonna be on it! :rotfl2:

My rule - in my forties, I got a birthday week. In my fifties, I get a birthday month. Anything I want goes. I finally learned that if I really want something for my birthday, I have to treat myself and not count on someone else. Makes for some nice treats throughout the month.

We are heading down to the world in the morning and then leave for our cruise on Saturday. I am thinking of this as my PCC 2.0 warm-up.

a few days late but from Hallowe'en which I carved for my nieces...

Last year DH said we had 3 trick or treaters...this year we had 30 which sent DH out for an emergency candy run :car:

Surprised at how many were older like 14-17 year olds - groups of 6 to 10 of them...when we were kids, 12 was pretty well your last year

Most didn't say trick or treat - they know you know the drill - I open my bag and you toss goodies in it. Wonderful that they were all polite and said, "thx" and didn't egg our house or kick in our pumpkin :rotfl:

I am with my DH hunting deer.
It's cold and windy here.
I haven't shot anything yet.
However I did get a look at a big doe running away with her fawn.
I am also sick this week as well, better now than in a month though

They've turned off the mains water supply here at work - no coffee, we can't wash up, we've got a tank we'll have to use sparingly and toilets still have some in the header tank but may run out :scared1:

It's all good fun :lmao:

I would say those are unsanitary conditions and you should demand to be sent home, with pay of course.

We had that once, they made us go to another building on campus to use the facilities. Talk about having to plan ahead - no waiting until one of those I gotta go moments.

Oh my, yeah I often wait until I have a break in what I'm doing (some things you can't leave) but if it took me more than 5 minutes to get there :headache:

Have you tried spotted dick? It's basically a sponge cake with raisins in. We also have something beginning with an F that is a derogatory word for a gay person (not even gonna try and write it - I'll see if I can find a pic) that always makes me wonder why they called them that - not even sure what it is, some kind of meat thing like spam :confused3

Those treacle tarts are pretty gross too :scared:

And I've never heard of that tea - we have PG Tips, Tetley, Yorkshire, Typhoo that are probably the biggest brands.

Again I have never seen that brand of oatmeal - or porridge as we'd say, must be an Irish thing :confused3

I'm suprised there aren't more beans though :lmao:

We have whole aisles of those baked lil beauties :cloud9:

Nice day!

I had a morning out-of-town meeting and took the rest of the day since I worked Saturday a week ago.
Since it is my birthday month, I treated myself to a fried seafood platter. Yum! birthday calories don't count, right?
Took a nice walk on a bike / pedestrian path sandwiched between highway and river. Nice view on one side, cars on the other.
I hear predictions of "plowable snow" for tomorrow!
