Good morning everyone, I'm not sure where this predicted heat wave is It's decidedly chilly this morning.

I'm off to start on the Christmas shopping tonight - hopefully I'll be bale to get a few baragins, the stores seem to have constant sales this year

Ha! If you want we can send you a selection of British crisps We saw some crisps and sweets in Epcot in the UK pavillion and couldn't believe how much they were charging I told DH we should bring a few boxes next time and sell them at half the price and we'd still make a profit

We're going to see the Shaolin Warriors tonite - a theatrical production of kung fu gymnasts and acrobats with weapons

I can't even begin to think about Xmas shopping - in our family, everyone buys for everyone else. I have 5 siblings and one of them has 5 kids ...and we have to get it all done by Dec 1 this year Happy Hunting tonite Becky!

We're going to see the Shaolin Warriors tonite - a theatrical production of kung fu gymnasts and acrobats with weapons

I can't even begin to think about Xmas shopping - in our family, everyone buys for everyone else. I have 5 siblings and one of them has 5 kids ...and we have to get it all done by Dec 1 this year Happy Hunting tonite Becky!

Luckily we don't have that many gifts to get - my only problem is I see loads of stuff I want (and sometimes buy ) but nothing for anyone else and then when I don't ask for something specific I get stuff I don't want. I think at Christmas you should just go and shop for yourself - you control the budget and you get exactly what you want (I know it's not in the spirit of the season but it's become so commercialised these days, I think people often forget what it's all about )
Good luck trying to get it all done in a month It's less than 2 months now anyway, I think it's 8 weeks tomorrow

Happy Thursday All! Just popping in to say hello. Wow...Halloween Sat, Thanksgiving in a month and then Christmas right around the corner! Whew where did the year go. One good thing is I'm all done with Christmas shopping Only because I can't focus on it after Oct. 1st due to traveling for the girls cheer competitions.

If anyone is hitting deals this weekend have fun! And if you shop online use Ebates.com...you'll get money back

LOL! Nah I have to be early. In Nov. they have 2 competitions in Raleigh and then the travel starts.

Dec. Gatlinburg TN and Greensboro NC
Jan. Charlotte NC
Feb. Charlotte NC
Mar. Orlando FL (will see the Mouse too...hehehehe)
Apr. Myrtle Beach SC

And they are all day events...they both dance and cheer (age 8 and 13).

so as a little conversation starter, i want everyone to tell me what they wear on board the ship (if you have been before) or what you plan on wearing. i'm not fashion obsessed at all, promise, i'm just a pragmatic gal and i have no idea what to expect. yes yes i know it's a year away ... but you understand, right? just another way to get excited!

Good morning, hope you have a quieter weekend

Well when we were there in May I took summer clothes (not that you'll need big wooly jumpers in December but a when we were in Florida last December it got a bit chilly some days, although I'm expecting on the boat we'll be warmer most of the time?!) during the day I wore shorts/skirts and t-shirt or strappy top. At night it was still warm but we tended to change for dinner - not compulsory but we enjoyed it.
I've heard the water will be a little cooler on Castaway Cay but I'm going to brave it - can't be as bad as the seaside here
If you're doing Palo you'll want to make sure you fit the requirements - no shorts
I'd say wear whatever you are comfortable in and take a variety of warm and cool clothes for WDW - layers as one day it can be lovely and warm, the next it's a frosty morning and you need a coat!
The ship has laundry both self service and garment by garment service (which can be express if you need it - I didn't want to iron DH's shirt so we got it ironed for about $7 I think)

Not sure - but for Orlando it could be, so maybe on the way out and the way back (esp. if the ship is going fast - do you remember how breezy it was in the hot tub the first night )

Tell her good luck! Who does she cheer with? I have a friend that moved to Jersey about 2 years ago and her girls were cheering with another gym up there (World Cup). Here's some videos from our gym although none of my girls are in them.

We have always traveled in Aug/Sept timeframe so it's still summer clothes for us. I'm kinda wondering about Dec. too
