Podcast Cruise 2.0 Discussion Thread 1 of ????

Remember waaaaay back when, shortly after we got back from the first podcast cruise, when we were taunted with stuff??

I believe one of them was: "Podcast 3.0 will be bigger than 1.0 and 2.0 put together. It will be something DCL has never done before."

Suppose were going to get chilly with 3.0???

Oooohhhh!!! The Panama Canal Cruise is January 6, 2011!!! Now I don't know what to do! I really want to take that cruise and it is a few weeks after the podcast cruise.

I brought up a hypothetical in chat on Wednesday that most people missed. If you could only do 2.0 -or- 3.0 (assuming the Dream in 2011) which would you choose? This also assumes that 3.0 is a date you can attend.

I chose 3.0.

Now the Wonder in Alaska brings up another possibility.

Tonight would be a good night to visit Cruise chat.

I guess I am going to have to give up my repo dream for the moment. I WON'T give up PCC 2.0. Maybe if they move the Magic to the West coast when the next ship comes on line. Oh well. I guess I will have to make due with F&W in 2011. Poor me. I'll just save up for PCC 3.0, maybe we will have a 7 day for that one.

The speculating is fun Kim. Remember that both 1.0 and 2.0 have been price sensitive. What will 3.0 be? I'm guessing that 3.0 could/would be the same to allow for a larger group so maybe no 7 day.

Hi all -

Just popping in to say Hi. I know I haven't spent much time here lately but between the PC board, the DAP threads, my 7 day cruise meet-up thread and the regular cruise boards I am being stretched for time on the DIS..

Glad to see so many people so excited about the cruise, even though its so far out.. The time will fly though, I can promise you that. My 7 day we booked 14 months ago and now we leave next month.

Wow, you are busy - have a great time on the 7 night I'd love to do that one day, if it weren't for all those darn podcast cruises

Wow time does fly by....yesterday was 4 months since PCC 1.0 set sail. Four months ago we were docked in Nassau. Time is flying by, it seems like only yesterday we were giving hello hugs and squeals on the beach at the Poly...or dancing or singing in Wavebands or listening to the great Lee Cockerell or making other wonderful memories with great people.

The next 15 months and one day are going to be a breeze!!!

I hope not, I don't enjoy the cold I think it'll be a whole ship of Disers then we could plan our own itinerary

We did a land tour (mostly train, a scary flightseeing tour of Mt. McKinley in a tiny red plane, some motor coach, a couple of boat tours) in Alaska last summer and it was the most amazing vacation we've ever taken. Breathtaking. Beautiful.

Aforementioned scary flightseeing tour - BEAUTIFUL.

We've been on the fence about cruising in Alaska since you only "see the edges" and not the beautiful interior parts of the state. Now that we've actually DONE that, a DCL Alaska cruise sounds like it just might fit some future need! If it WERE PCC 3.0, THAT would be a no-brainer.

Disney Dream for 7 nights is not likely going to happen. The schedule for the Magic is out and she will be doing 7 night cruises. The Dream will be doing 3, 4 and 5 nights.

Morning all. Heading home from Chicago in a little while. Chicago was a blast, but it will be nice to get home and see the family. I am currently trying to convince my wife that the 11 day Christmas cruise has are names written all over it. We'll see how that goes.

Did anyone else see the new structure of the Castaway Club membership? I think that DCL has the right idea about customer loyalty....wonder how long it'll take them to do something like that at the Resorts?

I didn't know the 2011 dates for the Magic were out already? Is that just for Travel Agents? I am surprised that the Dream would be doing short cruises. I think I will want to spend as much time as possible on that beautiful boat.
