So, James says to me the other night, "Nicole, I'm going to be gone for a week. You should go to WDW." Me: "OK." See my new ticker :) It's going to be hotter than hot and more humid than humid, but I don't care.

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: Awesome! What a lovely suprise :goodvibes

Three weeks and a couple days for us too! WOOT! :thumbsup2

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: Have a fab time!

Why thank you kind sir. :)

BUT.....I always have to wonder who you (meaning Americans, not just Todd) talk to. :scratchin
I say "doller" not "duller", and I don't say "aboot", I say "abowt".

Now...I have to admit...Newfoundlanders have a whooooole different dialect altogether, especially after a few drinks.

Chuck an Aussie and Brit in there and make it a whole lot more confusing :rotfl:

Holy Cow!

I just went on Disney's site to see how much our BLT room would cost if we paid cash (12/16-12/22).

Wow - I need to show DH this, I wonder how much we've saved so far

Glad you had a good time overall. I think ALL family trips have some drama...lol. We will be at the beach for a week next week and there will be 11 of us...13 on some days. Pray for me. :goodvibes

I hope it's fun but no dramas!

Lots of these posts are making me smile. New colors for D&B, things we say due to our speaking habits, and just random stuff in general.

I am feeling :cloud9: for absolutely no reason!

That is all. Carry on. ;)

My relatives in Parry Sound speak like that as do the folks when we come through Sault Sainte Marie.

Holy Cow!

I just went on Disney's site to see how much our BLT room would cost if we paid cash (12/16-12/22).

$4,562!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:faint:

Just more proof, if you're going to do Disney with any regularity, DVC is a wise investment.

Yeah, I know you speak English! That's why it doesn't seem like a foreign country, even though I need my passport.

But going to visit my partner's brother in Quebec is another story. It still looks like Maine (he is not in Quebec city), but everyone talks French. It is rather interesting to see us in the restaurants and ordering from menus all in French with no translation. That makes it seem like a foreign country.

That would be quite quaint. We used to go to a French restaurant in Windsor with a similar atmosphere. The man and woman that owned the place (and did all the cooking, cleaning, etc.) lived part time in France still. I'd have to translate the menu for mom, and she usually ended up pointing to what she wanted, adding a 's'il vous plaît' and 'merci' at the end.

Kelly is a friend that lives here. She is very excited. She has six kids two of them are foster kids and she needs a vacation!

Holy Cow. Vacation indeed!

Lots of these posts are making me smile. New colors for D&B, things we say due to our speaking habits, and just random stuff in general.

I am feeling :cloud9: for absolutely no reason!

Standard protocol, ma'am. Just doing our jobs.:goodvibes

Good morning everyone - Happy Hump Day :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Not long to go now :woohoo: :woohoo:

I wonder when they will start announcing the events? I'm sure for PCC 1.0 they mentioned things a few months before hand :)

Morning! I seem to remember they started talking about cruise events after Mousefest was over. Approximately five months before the cruise. The cruise primers they did on the show were on 2/25/09, 3/4/09, 3/18/09, 3/25/09.

So maybe next month.:goodvibes:goodvibes

Hi ya Todd

Yey, I might listen to those primers again to get me in the mood :goodvibes There is nothing on TV anymore, Dr Who was about the only we've been watching over the last few weeks and that won't be back until Christmas :sad1:

I am in my happy time of the day / year. Fresh Cheerios with fresh New Jersey blueberries. Yum!

I like the big cultivated blueberries from the Pine Barrens. They remind me of good times when we picked them when I was young.

I am still not used to Maine's tiny blueberries. Yes, they are sweeter, but they so tiny and they get mushy too fast. The tiny Maine berries are great for pancakes.

Happy Wednesday Everyone!!!! The power came back on around 6:45 last night. The thermostat said it was 99° in the house. It was rather uncomfortable. Of course did we do anything smart, like go to the park or the river or even back to my office? Nope. G finally scrubbed the floor that he'd been putting off since my trip in January. Mom felt bad and took us out to dinner and once we got home it was 79° or so. Much more livable.

Glad for short work weeks!!! Only two more days after this one!!!:cool1::cool1:

Some very kind DISer put links to them in the sticky thread "Links That I Think Might Help New Cruisers".

I know I am going to refresh my memory soon. It makes it more exciting, even for the stuff that I know is going to happen, like the muster drill.

So glad that you're back in the cool, Todd.

Morning everyone! I hope it's a great day for you.

I'm going to do the same thing here pretty soon. Plus I have to get my girls to listen to, so they have some sort of idea of what to expect. Time is getting short now and my daughter is "finally" ready to talk Disney with me and make our final plans and adjustments. We try to do something different each time we go to WDW, so last night we decided on where to eat lunch at DTD and I'm going to get the ADR today...(I hope)..Rainforest Cafe

The estimated cost of lodging for the Pre & Post Cruise stays was enough to convince me to buy in.

I have them on my Ipod - I listened to them back in late December and Early January. Probably time to listen again since we are close to the 5 month mark.

Once I am done listening to this week's show (and WDWToday) I plan on listening to them.

Hot here as well. Especially since our central air poo-ed out. Got up to 96° yesterday in my house. (Where's the 'I'm sweating my naughty bits off' smilie?) Today is supposed to be even hotter. Yuck. Oh well, this too shall pass.

G just called. The power just went out at home. Maybe I will stay at work for a while. I have A/C and a fridge and a computer and internet....:scratchin

Glad they got your air conditioning fixed and your power came back on.

Howdy peeps. Alicia's car is in the shop, transmission went! :headache: Sometimes money flows out of my pocket like water. Oh well, what are you gonna do. Very hot here today. They say it may break the record in NY. Hope everyone has a great day! :goodvibes

Sorry about the unexpected expense with Alicia's car. It seems that things like to break on the Hottest or Coldest days of the year.

Were you planning on getting a passport for the cruise?

Passport fees are indeed increasing effective July 13, 2010 - that's one week from today. Books go from $75 to $110 for adults and from $60 to $80 for minors; cards go from $20 for adults to $30 and from $10 to $15 for minors. Execution fee is still $25. Need addition visa pages in your book? It's free for now; it's $82 starting July 13.

Glad I got mine last year.

Hope everything is clear, how is you knee now?

Thanks Becky, the knee still has good days and bad days but seemingly having more good days than bad one.

Some of my blood work numbers came back in the "Borderline Higher than they should be". I am to start watching what I eat more closely and try to lose more weight and they will continue to monitor over the next 6 months, before recommending drug therapies.

Still no AC, but multiple fans and air circulation makes the temp drop a lot.

You're on the right path to get your numbers where they need to be!!! Good job!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Good morning everyone. :wave2: I was right.
