Hi Everyone! Wish I was headed to WDW in August. You lucky ducks!

The estimated cost of lodging for the Pre & Post Cruise stays was enough to convince me to buy in.

And since Tracey is kind enough to allow me to stay with her (Thanks, Tracey!, I am kicking in money to help towards her first payments. :goodvibes

I have them on my Ipod - I listened to them back in late December and Early January. Probably time to listen again since we are close to the 5 month mark.

I listened when they first came out and I thougt the podcast cruise was for "other people", surely not me! Then I listened again a month ago.

I am sure there will be more updates and primers.

:cool1:

Thanks for the inclusion! I feel all warm and fuzzy now! :goodvibes

:rotfl:

Yey, my good deed for the day :goodvibes

Better than squishy. :thumbsup2

:sad2: Ewww Todd!

Hi everyone. :wave2: Quick check-in. Another busy day at work. :headache:

Will try to make chat tonight but have to take the three felines for their annual check-up tonight. The caging is the hard part.

A fuzzy Dodie is a happy Dodie. :goodvibes

Hi Dodie.

Hey George - good luck with the kitties!

Hi Everyone! Wish I was headed to WDW in August. You lucky ducks!

You've only just come back - our last trip was Sept 2009

That's a great idea to help speard the cost, we got our friends a studio last Sept and the money they gave us helped towards the cost of flights, otherwise we probably wouldn't have been able to do it.

We didn't even bother listening to them until just after Christmas when we signed up! I didn't have a clue what was going on when we got to the port though - it was like revising for an exam and then it all totally went out of my head :rotfl: I think I need a year or so to feel like I've learnt the plan off by heart :thumbsup2

Happy "Hump" Day Everyone! (although is it truly "Hump" Day if it's a 4 day work week?)

More unseasonable rain today (but I will take this over heat anytime - sorry Northeasterners ). I agree what someone said about ADRs as I bet any available ressies are going fast. My Dad said to never wish time away, but man I cannot wait until December. Booking Palo and excursions will make it even more real in a couple of months. :cool1: Hope to see y'all on chat tonight.

I winged it. I just followed the herd and wandered around until Kim took us on an impromptu tour of the ship.

Between previous cruise sailors, the podcasts and the podcast threads, I think we are all far more knowledgable! :teacher:

The Podcast Team is killing me with the "Christmas in July" segment. I was having a hard enough time focusing on work. :hyper:

I know what you mean....Makes the cruise seem so close, doesn't it?

I imagine they will have to split venues to accomodate over 700 DISers. We won't fit anywhere as a complete group, except for Castaway Cay of course. Heads up bar anyone? :goodvibes

I'm game for actually going to Castaway Cay. Because on my one and only Disney cruise in 2003, the weather didn't cooperate, and the Disney Magic couldn't dock there. :sad2: Count me in for trying my first Konk Kooler!

Hey Becx! Can you see me? :wave2: :cool2: I would be most-honored to be included in one of your multiquotes. (I'm starting to get a complex.) :rolleyes1

I see you Dodie! :flower3: I took this as an open invitation to include you in a multi-quote.

Oy, where's the eye roll?

You just went to Florida a few weeks ago! I'm not gonna feel too sorry for you, Aaron! ;) But I'm going to WDW next week!
I will be hanging out at WDW the day they go to Harry Potter. I'd rather see it in the fall.

Oh my goodness! This is exactly what I came here to post. It's KILLING me to listen to this. The big DIS gang had SO MUCH fun at the MVMCP during DAP last year. :goodvibes

The Osborne Family Lights too...

Interesting that you posted this about MVMCP. I read that Kim (the one from Pittsburgh) is not going this year and it got me to wondering. I have never been to MVMCP. I am sure it will be tons of fun.

But a similar amount of money could go take me to Universal, a Segway tour or a Keys to the Kingdom tour.

MVMCP - what percent of the goodness is from the WDW party and what percent is being with the DIS gang?

All - please chime in with answers! Sway me!
Also give me advice about the other places (Universal, a Segway tour or a Keys to the Kingdom tour) that might get my money.
Thanks! :flower3:

For me they went hand in hand. I couldn't separate the two. For me, I enjoyed the shear fact of the hard ticket event. I liked the exclusivity. Call me a snob, or whatever. I don't care. The lines for the rides were noticeably shorter in my opinion. It gave me more time to get to know and talk to some DISers that I hadn't before.

I went for the first time during DAP and plan on attending during the PCC 2.0 trip as well. Even if I spent the entire time by myself (which I doubt would be possible) I think it would be enjoyable.

As for US/IoA...I have enjoyed them in the past. I will enjoy them again in the future. If you like rides, then it might be an option. If you won't go on thrill rides, it may not be the best use of your vacation money. Don't forget you also need to figure transportation into your US/IoA side trip budget.

I have not done a Segway or KTTK tour, so I can't speak to them, except that I will do them one day. But seeing as how they are offered year round (to the best of my knowledge) there is no special driving factor to do them this trip; other than doing them with fellow DISers.

Just my 2¢.:goodvibes

I love our similar photographs, Todd! :goodvibes

Lyn - It's a little bit of both. It's amazing to be in the Magic Kingdom with far fewer people than are usually there. It's great to walk right onto Big Thunder Mountain or Pirates, but even greater when you are able to fill an entire BTMRR train or POC boat with friends you know. :cloud9: I don't think I've ever had more fun at WDW than riding Big Thunder at night during this party with the entire train full of hooping and hollering DISers!

These pics are making me miss my friends even more. I can't wait to see you again. :)

Also, I REALLY need to catch up on podcasts. I'm still in April.

Great photos Dodie & Todd....And you couldn't ask for two better backdrops for pictures.
