We do not officially do anything but grocery stores may use it as a theme - to seel more burgers for BBQ's and hot daogs in jars

I loved celebrating it at camp, we had a pie eating contest, watermelon race loads of stuff - it was so much fun

Good afternoon everyone. I need a nap. What a long morning at the hospital. The good news is that everything went great for Emilie. They didn't find anything with the endoscopy. However, they didn't find anything out, so we we dont' know why she is throwing up. They are doing some biopsies and hopefully we'll hear something next week.

Awww poor baby! I do hope they find out something soon.

Hey Everybody!

I am looking forward to the long weekend, but I am just hoping the weather will cooperate. We usually host a 4th of July party for family and friends but the storms that Hurricane Alex are likely to bring us may put a damp on that (no pun intended). As long as it doesn't get the BBQ wet, I am fine.





George, I have always wanted a smoker and your talk of what you're cooking this weekend is pushing me closer to getting one. I wanna be able to rub my butt too!

Happy Friday everyone!!! Office is pretty deserted this morning. I expect it to be a bare bones crew after lunch. That makes me smile.

No big plans for the weekend. Might go to the freedom festival in the town I used to live in. But it is a mob scene and will be packed with people and 90°. Not sure I like people that much. Especially since I have to leave my fur babies at home.

Will probably end up visiting my step-mom in the hospital.

Hello computernut friends!

My office is literally deserted today as well. There are only two of us over on my half of the floor. This is okay with me, as I have some data stuff to do (spreadsheets Todd - your favorite) and the quiet will be helpful. Plus, I just might take myself a long lunch and walk around the block since the weather is so beautiful!

Hope everyone has a fabulous holiday weekend. I have Monday off - but Phillip does not. We don't have big plans: a car show tomorrow, viewing the big downtown fireworks Sunday night from our backyard.

Happy Friday everyone and for those in the States - Happy 4th of July weekend

My office is very quiet today - except for the phone calls from boaters deciding today that they would like their boat launched for the holiday weekend -
Yeah - right - sure - we'll get right on it -DUH!!!!!!!!! why don't you wait and call at 3:55 ( we close at 4:00)

We don't have a lot of plans for the weekend. Tomorrow evening we're going to the Bisons minor league baseball game. Following the game the Philharmonic orchestra will be playing and then a very large fireworks display happens. We try to go every year - it's a great time

Sunday is supposed to be near 90 here - so I'm thinking we'll spend a relaxing day at home either on the front porch or under the back deck's awning. Perhaps a few libations before some BBQ chicken, corn and grilled potatoes

I have to work a 1/2 day on Monday - payroll waits for no one , but I'll be all alone here and I can fly through the work and get out before noon.

Might take a ride up to Niagara Falls in the afternoon and just wander about for a bit

Three days off from work coming up - YAY!

Tomorrow should be along bike ride. Hope it is not too, too hot.

Will visit friends at their "camp" on a lake SUnday.

The worst thing about Independence Day for me is hearing fireworks in the distance and wishing I was watching them. Even worse is when I am watching them, and I am so disappointed. They are so weak compared to what I saw at Walt Disney World.

My favorite thing about every day is the that I can watch the Epcot 25th anniversary fireworks on my iPod anytime! Thanks DIS Unplugged video. I am hoping they Pete does a video podcast of the summer night-tastic fireworks.

I can understand this the day before I leave for a vacation, but not today. I don't have anything special happening.

I love comparing the size of fireworks displays.

Boomsday (over Labor Day) in Knoxville also claims to be "the largest fireworks show in the southeast United States."

So what I want to know is how do you measure the size of a fireworks display.
