Pocono Camping and Adios VA

Just got back from the camping trip in the Poconos. Overall, a great trip, but would you believe the campground had NO SEWER HOOKUPS? No place! And something is killing the red maples, so I was in a "wooded" area that looked like a forest fire had gone through. Oh well.

For the second part, my contract with the VA is coming up in September and I have had it with the place. I have only been working Mondays there for the past year anyway, and I have decided to part ways. Long story which involves wasting tax money and the VA's desire to eliminate veterans in the ranks. I'll take the cut in pay before I put up with the crap anymore. Hey FWGirl - put on another hot dog for me for dinner tonight!

Jim...sometimes you just have to cut your losses & go. I thought the Gov't was beefing up VA medical. Guess I was mis-informed, huh??

No sewer, I know why the trees are dying. Working for the Gov't is not for a person who cares about doing things right, it drives my DB crazy seeing all the waste that goes on in the Tn. State Gov't. Hope things go well for ya Jim.

US Gov't = Corrupt (or at least) unwise spending.

I read in yesterday's newspaper that the US Gov't spends on average $85K a day on secret servicemen to guard McCain & Nobama. That's $85K EACH!!

I'd be happy to take my DH's compound bow and guard one or the other for an entire year for $85K. (Note I said guard - not protect - huge difference - )
