I'd like to get a pocket camcorder. My friend has the flip and I'm not overly impressed with it. What else is out there? Would like to stay under $150.

I have the earlier 720p HD Sanyo Xacti CG-10 and I'm quite happy with it. I bought it for the video and sound and I'm quite impressed with it. Also takes 10mp pictures, but those don't compare to a dedicated camera.

I think the current CG-10 is 1080p.

But it really depends on what you are doing with it. We take ours in the pool, on the boat, everywhere!! It only has a 5 megapixel camera so the pictures aren't professional but we like the fact that it is waterproof, small, and does good video. I really like the option (with the Kodak PictureMaker machine) to go frame by frame through the video and capture photos. We took this to DL last Nov and I have some unique pictures printed from video on the tea cups. Plus, saves me from juggling both camera and camcorder at the same time :yay:

Another vote for the Kodak Playsport. I found the quality to be higher than the Flip right out of the box. I like the fact I can fill memory cards and not just onboard memory. It comes with an HDMI-Mini HDMI cable to hook into your PC or HDTV. It also features a mini-USB charging port. I can use the same charger for both my Kindle and my Playsport. :thumbsup2
