Thinking about staying at POR. Last year when we went we stayed at CSR in a newly renovated room. Very nice, and spoiled us. Has POR rooms been renovated recently?

Was at POR in January, Building 37 Bayou...newly renovated, very nice. Haven't followed up on renovations of other buildings, but I'm sure there is more detailed info of which buildings still need renovation somewhere on this site or at portorleans.org

Stayed in a Royal Guest Room in the mansions in April 2019 and they were not renovated.

They are doing a bit of refurbishment there now. I believe the 30's buildings in Alligator Bayou are done and they're now finishing the rest. It's not as extensive of a refurb as Coronado, but they now have laminate floors and the higher beds with storage underneath.

I love CSR and agree the rooms there are beautiful. We also stay quite frequently at POR and love it just as much. It's just different theming. I say give it a shot!

I think it depends on when you are going. The AB are set to be complete (as reported above) We are going for Oct. 30 check in and I am super excited. We love POR Hope you have a great time.
