I should be a Great Aunt by the end of the day! My nephew and his wife are having their first baby today! She was supposed to be induced yesterday, but for some reason they're doing it today instead. It's also my FIL's 81st birthday, so today is actually nicer! My nephew is in the Army, over in Afghanistan but he got to come home for 15 days of R&R for the babys birth!

Howdy doody, Hope everyone is well. So nice to see all the baby news. I can't wait for my little peanut to get here.

So the kids are getting married on October 7th. Aaron wanted Jeff to be around for the wedding so he planned it for them. Nothing big, a simple ceremony at the beach at sunset. When I told Jeff about it he got online and got one of those website officiant things so he is actually going to marry them. They don't know yet, it's a surprise.
I went ring shopping with them today. They were on a very tight budget needless to say. They were looking at some rings but they were a bit pricey. I asked her what she wanted and she said something simple. So while we were in the store I said 'well, as my gift to you, you can have this.' I opened up a jewelry box and inside was a diamond necklace that was my grandmothers. It has a one caret diamond and 2 1/4 caret diamonds. I told them they could have one of the 1/4 caret diamonds. She started crying. So they found a setting for it and the jeweler took the diamond out and looked at it under the scope and said 'this must have been in your family a long time because they don't cut diamonds like this anymore.'
For a while I've been trying to figure out how to divide up that necklace into something usable. And it just hit me today. I had no reservations. It just felt right. Tyler will get the other 1/4 caret diamond when he plans to get married someday. The one caret is mine. LOL There is also 5 smaller diamonds that would look real nice in a mans wedding band so I will give those to Chris.

Hubby has been in Kuwait now for about a week and so far so good. They put him up in a nice apartment. He even gets daily maid service. Lucky! Yesterday while driving into work they passed a herd of about 100 camels. Wish he had taken a picture of that.

Still on the house hunt. I've been a day late on everything I like. It's getting frustrated.

Anyways, just been very very busy. Hope everyone is doing well!

She's here! Charlotte Rebecca was born at 1:13 pm, weighs 7 lbs 7 oz and was 18 inches long. She had some fluid in her lungs so will probably be in the hospital a day or 2.
It's funny to think that my BIL that is 9 days older than me is a grandfather!

I'm still suffering with this toothache, have another appt. tomorrow. Turns out I'm allergic to codeine, Wed. was a fun night Hoping the antibiotics will start kicking in and relieve some of the pain.

He didn't really say; I was hoping for some relief by now. I have an appt. for 9:30 tomorrow morning, he is off on Friday. I can't believe it took me an hour and forty five minutes to drive back from his office Wednesday, by the time I got home it was dark and raining - you know how I hate to drive.

Angel, I remember you mentioning about DH and a new job, I just don't remember WHAT it was!

As of yesterday, my grand-niece was still in the hospital. Andrew talked to his mom yesterday and MIL and FIL had just been able to see her for the first time on Sunday. She's been in the NICU, but I'm not sure what the latest is.

Lots of news on here. Congrats to everyone who shared happy news!

I've been sick. Over a week ago I got a bad cold that moved to my chest and I feel crappy (mainly because I'm not sleeping with the coughing). Since I don't have insurance it means going to the health clinic--not a bad place, but it's not as if I can run to urgent care. They wanted to schedule me for next week....uh, no, that's not going to work! Managed to get in tomorrow afternoon. That's what I get for swimming in the cesspool of children's germs, otherwise known as working in a preschool.
