Where is everybody?

I was with the inlaws today. They took us out to lunch for Father's Day today. DH got to pick and wanted BBQ. He originally picked a small BBQ joint near us with a limited menu and KILLER Hushpuppies. NOT good. I asked him if we could to to a bigger place that is his 2nd favorite. Bigger menu with salads and NO hushpuppies to tempt me. He totally forgot that I wouldn't find anything to eat at the 1st place and that the HP would be a temptation. He had no problem with switching and was very apologetic about not thinking of me. I :love: him, even if he is forgetful sometimes.




B: scrambled Eggs with cheese, coffee, 1/4 piece of WW toast

S: banana, cottage cheese w/ french dressing

L: grilled chicken salad with Lemon/Lime vinagrette, iced tea

S: coffee

D: Tuna sandwich (tuna, dill relish, carrots, celery, mayo) 2 slices WW bread, diet Pepsi
 
I am here!

My food for today was:
L: 2 breakfast wraps (egg beaters, onions, peppers, bit of cheese, in a 60 cal wheat pita), and a diced potato/onion mixture fried up like hash browns with cooking spray. Total, 325.
D: 12 oz of pork chops, broccoli, salad. Total about 600.
So, my total for today is about 925 cals, likely going to have a 100 cal Breyers ice cream cup.

And, I was a bit hungover from last night's drinking spree. :laughing:
 
Hello..it was a bad weekend for me...I'm trying to forget what I ate.
 
Busy day here, school's close early so I have to go to a program.

B- Yogurt, chocolate chip cookie:sad2:

L- Frozen meal of turkey, stuffing and carrots (7WW points)
Strawberries, bleu cheese and Catalina.
 

Just checking in. Going to have a very busy week so don't know how much I will be around until my mom leaves.

I will try to keep my food journal updated.

I did go and buy new batteries for my scale today so I guess I will have no excuse to not officially weigh in.
 
My food for today:
B: Apple Jacks (dry) and coffee, 130
L: Smart Ones Chicken Marsala, salad, yogurt, 350.
D: KFC Chicken Breast meal, took the skin off the chicken, threw out the biscuit, and had mashed/gravy and mac&cheese for sides, 470.
Total for today so far, 950. May have ff popcorn later to add 200, or might have a glass or red wine, still debating. Exercise, 47 min/3.25 miles on the d* dirty elliptical trainer, some crunches on the ball.

Sorry about the visitors lts... I like my quiet house the way it is.
 
Hi guys. Been offline mainly the last couple of days. WW is stressing me out so I am working on simply drinking water and increasing fruits and vegies as well as watching portion sizes. Seems to be working. As of this morning I have lost 2 lbs since last week.

We will not talk about the Heath Coolers I have gotten from the local coffee shop for the last two days in a row.:rolleyes1

Kat, I am looking forward to my mom and brother coming, but I know that by Thursday I will be counting down the hours until they leave--up until time for them to go, then I will be sad that they are leaving. I know, screwed up. What can I say? It is a family thing. I love them, but I hate them KWIM? Mostly my Mom will wreck havoc on my eating. She is constantly on me about my weight (and is not like she is a size 6 herself) but then when she comes to visit she wants to eat out constantly and wants to order "treats" and junk and encourages me to join in. :sad2: I am NOT going to let her get to me this time though.

So here is my food for today. I think the Topomax increase is taking the edge off of my appetite. I am not feeling as hungry as often. Now I seem to just go straight to starving, light headed and want to pass out. That is not a good thing. I will have to work very hard to remember to eat on time. I should probably add the time that I eat each thing to my journal. Some days that is hard to remember though.

B: Go Lean Oatmeal, Coffee

S: Yogurt, water

L: 1/2 tuna sandwich, tomato soup, water

S: coffee

D: SB recipe Lemon Garlic Chicken (not bad), 1/2 cup Garlic and Olive Oil Couscous, Steamed Asparagus, Water

I bought batteries for my scale today (it died a month or so ago) so I guess I can weigh in now and get an official progress report. I have a good idea of where I was starting at. I am not sure I want to. I FEEL good. I FEEL like I am doing a good job and I really have been eating well. I always worry that the number on the scale won't show the progress, no matter how good I have been.
 
My tummy hurts! I think the milk I drank last night was bad. :sick: I get hungry and eat then my stomach feels quesy.

I had my usual banana and yogurt for breakfast. Lunch was a sandwich, Buddig turkey, Chipotle Cheddar cheese and mayo on wheat bread and the same salad.
 
I cheated for lunch today...it was someone's birthday and we got chinese...I had the General Tso's.

I have boneless skinless breasts thawing for dinner, not sure how I'm going to make them yet.

Chicken... my favs are
->Salsa chicken -- grill chicken, then put foil on grill, add chicken, a can of green chilis, salsa, and cover w/ shredded cheese, w/ ff refried beans or black beans as a side
->Smoky mtn chicken -- grill chicken, add bbq sauce, 1 slice bacon, 1 slice or shredded provolone/mozzerella or shredded.

I have had a good day... at least 3 people have commented on my weight loss today for some reason. Maybe because I am wearing actual pants instead of my usual stretchy skirt.

Food... apple jacks for bfast, lunch was smart ones, salad, sugar free pudding.

What is Topomax?

Topomax is my Migraine med. One of the side effects is loss of appetite. I haven't had that effect much though. But I am still having migraine problems so the doctor upped my dose again on Friday.


I am doing good. We went out for ice cream tonight at Baskin Robbins and they didn't have anything that was FF/SF so I just skipped it. Did I mention that ice cream is my absolute FAVORITE??? I was sooooo good. Still saving up for a major cheat at Melting Pot on Thursday.

L: Leftover SB chicken and couscous from last night

S: peanuts

D: Taco salad with ff refried beans, beef, lettuce, cheese, ranch dressing, diet pepsi

Ok, I'm in. Lately hubby and I have both been expanding too quickly in the midsection area. I haven't been on the scale, and I don't think I want to. I'll just go by the way my clothes fit.

We have had success with the Suzanne Somers diet (Somersizing) in the past, so that's what we're going for again. It's probably the closest to South Beach, but with food combining. It's based on the avoidance of sugars and the foods that turn into sugar in your bloodstream (starches).

So, having said all that, I'm doing pretty good so far today. Breakfast was two eggs scrambled with cheese and a cup of tea with sweet n low (my sweetener of choice) and cream. Lunch was a salad of romaine, bacon, and shredded cheese, topped with my favorite dressing - Newman's Own Olive Oil and Vinegar mixed with mayo. I had a caffeine free diet coke to drink.

Right now I'm having another cup of tea, and I had a piece of dark chocolate with it. The chocolate is a cheat, but just a wee one.

Ahh... loss of appetite is good! Every little bit helps. Hope your migraines are better. I love the Melting Pot! We are having our cheat day on Saturday, first time in a month that I will have gone over 1200 calories in a day. Still haven't decided what we are going to eat... maybe pizza, definitely a LOT of beer.

B: Coffee
L: 2 stone ground pitas (60 each) cut in half. Two halves stuffed w/ roast beef, artichoke/spinach dip, red onion, and the other two stuffed w/ roast beef, one wedge laughing cow light swiss cheese, red onion. Added a salad w/ cucumber, onion, and light three cheese ranch, and an activia ff yogurt.
S: Strawberries
D: Smart Ones salisbury steak and mac&cheese, frozen cauliflower (cooked of course), and sf double chocolate pudding.

828 calories total, will probably eat some ff popcorn after hockey. Exercise, 1 hour of ice hockey.
 
Okay, today I had a cup of spaghetti noodles and a cup of milk. Today I skipped breakfast. My mother is here so will make something for dinner, and I'll attempt part of it.

The other days I didnt post were all piece of bread and tea for breakfast and about 3 oz of roast chicken and cup of milk for dinner. I am a creature of habit. :confused3 I skipped lunch the last several days.

BUT, I am simply lying in bed most of the time, so I don't need much. I take 200 mg topomax daily as well.
 
Doing great today. Stick and Twig cereal for breakfast and packed a picnic lunch we took for the beach. My mom doesn't seem to be impressed with my healthy whole wheat oat muffins and my whole wheat bread.

ETA: She has reminded me that she ate the "stick and twig" ww bread that I didn't like, and the muffins "weren't bad".
 
I am exhausted. How come a relaxing day at the beach has me worn out? I walked more today than I have in months, and really it was not very much at all. My feet are not happy with me.

I did good eating today. We packed a picnic to take to the beach.

I had planned to have brown rice for dinner but forgot to make it. Dinner was hectic and I didn't get it made in time. So when I sat down and realized I forgot to heat up my rice I decided to skip it --I was tired and hungry--and just have chicken and broccoli. But then I had too much sauce and one thing lead to another and I had about 1/2-3/4 cup of white rice. Overall it won't kill me. I just need to remember plan better for ME when making family meals.

I made a Cheeseburger Pie recipe from one of the Suzanne Somers books - no crust, just hamburger, cream, cheese, eggs, tomatoes, and some Italian spices. Had it with buttered green beans and water to drink. It was tasty and satisfying. Decaf coffee with cream after.

Hubby and I were talking tonight about motivation - we are both getting it at this moment from feeling our stomachs. I can either put my hands on it and feel how much farther out from the center of me it goes, or just feel how the waistband of my pants cuts into it. Either way I hate it, and that's working for me. :rotfl:
 
That sounds like good motivation LB! That is what is motivating me too!

That Cheeseburger Pie sounds good, can you post the recipe? I think my kids and I would really like it.
