:wave2: Hi Tig. How are your kids?

Nobody threw up, nobody has the runs, no flu, strep throat, or even a cold. Hmmm, what's wrong? :rotfl2:

We went to an Orioles game today, though, and shared waters, so if anyone is getting sick we'll all get it. :rotfl:

The baseball game was fun. All the money went to charity and ALL the seats were $10. My DH got club level seats, which are normally $55. They are the seats that a person takes a special escalator to get to (that you have to show your ticket to get onto) and there are lounge areas all along one of the sides opposite where the seats are (where the concessions are). Very nice and sure not a place where we'd normally sit.

Fun, but now my guys are sitting here catching up on the basketball games that they missed.

Glad to hear there isn't anything coming out of any of your orifices! Hope it lasts.

I have a scratchy throat and have a feeling I'm going to be getting a cold again. This will be the third one in 4 weeks. I don't get it. :confused3

Oh, no! Time to reach for the zinc! I take it at the first sign of a cold and it seems to nip it in the bid if I catch it soon enough.

I'll have to try that. My DH and my mom are hacking all over the house. I can almost see the germs flying through the air. Have you heard from Luv lately?

luv checked in here a day or 2 ago, but I haven't heard from her since. We might need to harass, I mean PM her if we don't here from her soon. :)

I'm off to bed--ta ta for now!

Remember to change your clocks!

Teva, I spoke too soon...my 15yo was up during the night throwing up... :rotfl2: No, it's not funny, of course. but why did I have to say that nobody was throwing up? I guess they weren't--that minute! Sometimes we'll get these stomach viruses that will last and last and last. Not real severe, but they don't go away. I guess that's what he has. I wanted you to know that as soon as I heard that he threw up that I thought of you! :teeth:

At least my DH was the main one to share the food and drinks with him since he was sitting next to him. :teeth:

How's it going, Debbie?

I have a question for you wise ones. My DD is a college freshman and has a roommate who I'm really wondering about. Both of the girls had interviews this morning for jobs for next year. The jobs are on campus, in an office doing various things to do with campus entertainment--scheduling concerts, weekend tours, movies, etc, etc. My DD is interested in the entertainment side and her roommate the administrative side, so they are not competing for the same jobs, or so they say.

They were trying to figure out what to where for the interview and I told my DD "casual, but not slutty" (I don't mince words LOL), so slacks or capris, shirt that is not revealing, no flip flops, but not dressed up, either. She doesn't ask my opinion until last night or I would have directed her to the DIS. :rotfl: Her roommate told her that she should be getting dressed up, which is what the other girl did (totally dolled up, with hair, makeup, clothes, etc, etc) and according to my DD overdone. Whatever, she can dress how she wants, but was making my DD feel like she was way too casual, which I doubt because my DD tends to overdo the makeup in my opinion since all she really has to do is to get dressed and she looks great. Really.

So, anyway, the roommate got back from her interview and told my DD that all the positions that my DD wanted were already filled. My DD didn't know what to think, but that it didn't sound right to me. First of all, they'd probably interview everyone before deciding and why would they tell the roommate about a totally different position unless there was a sign posted stating filled positions.

So my DD went to the interview and they said nothing about any filled positions. My DD didn't see any signs about filled positions.

So how would you handle it with the roommate?

And my DD is supposed to room with this girl next year.

One other thing--this girl went to high school with the missing New Jersey boy (knew him, but not close friends) and is pretty shook up about that situation, so my DD doesn't want to come down too hard on her because she knows she's upset. But if she is indeed lying, this just doesn't sound like normal behavior.

I almost posted this as a new thread, but decided that I wasn't in the mood to get beat up by certain posters. I won't name any names... :lmao:

Hi Debbie!
Yikes Tig! I don't know how I would tell DD to handle this. Does this girl "fabricate" many things?

The girl is very moody, but so is my DD. The are normally good friends, but this girl gets into a funk and it's hard for her to get out of it. This is according to my DD, but like I said, my DD is moody. I grilled my DD about just how moody this girl is and my DD assures me that she really is a lot more moody than she is, but it's hard for me to really know since I don't see it. But the lying, assuming the jobs really haven't been filled, is something pretty bad. I think the girl is jealous of my DD and was hoping she just wouldn't go to the interview. :sad2:

That is what I was thinking. The only other thing I can think of is did they possibly have different interviewers? :confused3
