I need more contributions, so I can do it!

Are you guys going to BBQ, or just kinda hang out?
Well, the sun just came out so I guess we will BBQ. How about you?

Probably just hang out. I want to finish the book Shug lent me, "Mr. Darcy Takes a Wife". I haven't found the time to read lately. :guilty: Maybe later we'll go out to lunch or something. We're going to relax!!

My house looks like someone picked it up and shook it  Guess I should get on that!

Better get crackin' on that! And thanks for the adjective! :)

I need to get on my house, too. I'm trying to research North Carolina furniture companies so I can decide where to get the furniture for the guest bedroom. We're not even calling it Alyssa's bedroom anymore. She did such a lousy job getting the tape and residue off the walls like she was supposed to. She had from December until August to get it done and she didn't do it. My DH and Zach spent an hour in there yesterday working hard and maybe got half done. Her excuse for some of the tape was that she couldn't reach to get it down...but she reached to get it up. Has she heard of a step ladder? My DH is NOT happy with her. Between that and her bouncing her check card balance last week she was in the dog house. She does not act like someone who is halfway through college.

You sound busy, T&B! Wish I were getting new furniture! Post pics when the room is done, kay?

Here's a picture of the bed that we picked out. http://www.kincaidfurniture.com/ourfurniture/product.aspx?pid=2413 We were going to go with another bed in that collection since my DH insisted that he didn't want a high footboard, but then he saw this bed in a showroom and liked it. :confused3 I'm the one that loves footboards, so I was fine with it. We really haven't shopped that much for what we want, which makes me uncomfortable (I like to shop, shop, shop for that sort of thing), but we don't have time if we're going to have it by early November. I've got to order it this week. We'll also get the Five Drawer Chest and Bedside Chest, which is way cool with the pull out tray (we really don't have room in that room for that, but my DH saw that and said that we'll make room and I love things like that :rotfl: ).

Nice bed! :thumbsup2 I like footboards too. Why do you need it done by November? Is there an event coming up at your house?

Unless he has a sex change, though, it will be a Bar Mitzvah. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: And I wish that there was an easy abbrevation, but I refuse to call it a BM! :lmao:

At last count we'll have 10 extra people staying here, so we'll be using Alyssa's room, oops, the guest room, for Ron's parents. That is, if there's a bed in there. :teeth: Of course we don't have places for 10 extra people to sleep, but nevermind that factoid! :rotfl: Most are my family and they don't seem to mind that sort of thing. My brothers, who don't have children, could decide to opt out and stay in a house that isn't filled with 16 people (which is what my DH's brother is doing if he comes). :lmao:

Nice bed, Tig.

Angel, I'm not Jewish but I'm pretty sure a Batmitzvah is for a girl and barmitzvah is for a boy. Not sure about the spelling though.

Hi Bonnie!

Call me a gimp, but what is a Bar Mitzvah for?

Hi Tiva! :wave2:

I believe its a celebration into adulthood in the Jewish faith.

Hey Bonnie, I'm about to finish the next installment "Darcy and Elizabeth" if you want to read that one next. Just pm me your address again. I've probably got another week or so till I'll be done.

Gimp, I mean Bb :teeth: , it is when a Jewish person becomes 13yo. There doesn't have ot be a celebration and it's something that happens automatically, but usually there's years of prep, religious school, Hebrew school, and as it gets closer, tutoring, etc. It's a big deal. In our congregation they actually lead the service. I'd never been to one until our DD had hers (I wasn't raised Jewish, so it was all Greek to me :) ), so I didn't understand the significance to the whole thing. For each one of my kids, more of my siblings keep coming. The first one, only my sister, who is LDS came (which makes sense, since religion is so important to her), then the last one my other sister, too. This one, all 4 of my sibs are coming and my BIL. And hopefully our elderly mother and also my nephew and his new wife. I think the word got out that it's a lot of fun. :rotfl:

I just read about the Crocodile Hunter. :guilty:
That is just so sad.

I will be packing and running errands all day. I'm just exhausted. Totally exhausted.

:grouphug: Maybe you can sleep on the plane. Of course, you'll have to drug the kids. Let me know if you need a 'cocktail' recipe for them. :teeth:
