chuck--that sounds like a fun night! Makes me want to consider finding out who will be there when I am. (I am always kind of a hermit with my family when I am there.)

you should!!!!! the ones that are the same IRL as they are here are alot of fun to hang out with!!!!! it was so much fun, you chat with people on boards like this, most of whom you will never meet, but the ones you get to know and see pics of, when you do get the chance it is so much fun, and they go from chat friend to real life friends it just makes it even better, but I must add that I am 6'3" tall and 300lbs of southern red neck and I am out going too, so it doesnt bother me to meet people for the first time I am ready for Shug to come down so I can meet her down on the coast and go to one of the casino's to eat, that way I can meet her DH and she can meet my DW as well, Shug is one of my heroes!!!!!! so meeting her when she is down is a must

Ok, I have great news and I just have to share with y'all:

My dh made captain with his fire department!!!!!!

The testing process has been chaotic and it's been going on for months, and he just found out that out of the 10 guys who were testing for the position, he got it! On the last test, he came out #11 out of 11 guys. So he went from worst to first! I'm so proud of him!

Thanks for letting me share! (BTW, I've only told two other people!)

Can I just tell you all I am hating my job right now. Here it is 7:22 and I am still at work 12 hours and 22 minutes after I freakin started. I am so tired right now, but at least all of the freakin voice mails have been pulled and at least half of them answered.

Off to home now to sit glassy eyed on the couch eating whatever I can find to eat in the fridge then go to bed early so I can get up and come back here early tomorrow. I can't wait for next week, I only work two days.

Awwww how sweet I don't do nothing hero worthy though. Except maybe risk divorce on a daily basis and come here and tell you all about Dh's latest hijinks

My nephew is due 12/20 and I expect to be in Gulfport sometime in early January to meet him. And yes, we are definitely hitting the barfet at the Grand!

Hey all!

Steph- That's wonderful about your DH. I would love to met up with you in Disneyland. We are talking about a trip the first week in December.
T&B- I'm so sorry about the headaches being bad this week. Are they due in part to stress? I love the cookie tradition. Our neighbors have 4 girl and a son and they take them out for a nice dinner the night before they start school, they have named it the last supper (in their defense, their kids are older and the Mom did say they had a much more positive title for the dinner when the kids were younger).
Chuck- I've missed you. Sounds like you had a wonderful trip or at least it was full of adventure.
disneymom- I hope that you are feeling better soon.
snow- Do you teach school?
merle- I'm sorry that your job is less than inspiring right now. Don't you have a vacation coming up? Maybe a nice break is inorder.

teva, every first day of school I make the kids chocolate chip cookies. This year I got off easy. Since I had strep, Alyssa and a friend made cookies so she could bring some back to school (last year I made her some for her first day of college) and I had her make extra dough so I didn't have to do that today. I just had to scoop and bake. I made each boy a fresh, hot pan since they each get home at different times. Somehow I didn't get a migraine tonight (choco chip cookies are one of my worst triggers), so maybe my bad week is over.

red, I'm pretty sure the headaches are hormonal. I use a progesterone cream 3 weeks out of the month, which seems to really help, but the week around "that time of the month" is bad. At least it's an improvement since just a few months ago the whole month used to be this way (and was this way for months and months (and months...). It's really a wonder that I didn't kill myself and I credit that to no weapons in the house.

I don't think that we want to know about Chuck and Rick's butt. I didn't think that Chuck rolled that way, but whatever...
