I talked to my mom and everything is fine. She'd called my sister to discuss a timeshare problem. That explains why she didn't call me, after no reaching her. And the icing on the cake is that my sister reached her last night eventually, but didn't call me back or e-mail me, telling me everything was ok. Nice, huh? I haven't e-mailed her to ask her why, considering that I asked her to. Maybe she wouldn't have been worried. Seems that I'm the only one that really worries about our mother. One brother hasn't even contacted her for at least a year. One isn't even on speaking terms. And one rarely is in contact. But my sister who didn't call me back did tell my mother to reserve a timeshare where they will be at a bowling tournament next summer, so she'll worry about that sort of thing.

On a lighter note, Jake and I had a great time at the Animal Planet Expo today. It was as hot as hades there, though. There were a lot of hot people and even hotter dogs that people had brought along. My favorite part was the frisbee dog show. That was fun to watch. Anything exciting happening on the DIS today that I missed?

Ok, I just have to share this, it was so sweet. Over the past 6 months or so I've developed a real car phobia. I don't know why but I panic in the car. I'm just sure we are going to have an accident. I do better when I put on my dark sunglasses and just look at my feet or put the seat all the way back and lay down. I'm fairly rational when there's no traffic but in heavy traffic pass the valium! Anyway, we went out today and I'm doing my usual watch the floor thing when Dh turns onto a side street. He takes the MUCH longer scenic route down next to the river where there's very little traffic. It took us about 10 miles further than we needed to go but we spent only a couple of minutes on any busy streets. I asked Dh why he did that. Usually he just gets irritated but keeps driving. He said he thought it would make me feel better to look at something pretty for a change. Awwwwwwww

Shug, you're right, that is sweet! Either that or he was trying to torture you by keeping you in the car for longer... Just kidding. See, there is hope for the guy!

I would definitely put flashing lights on my tatas. I certainly wouldn't be tripping over anything since they'd be lighting up the ground.

Shug, I am so glad your DH did that for you! They seem to be just like kids sometimes in the way that just when we get really exasperated with them they do something incredibly sweet!

yep she was giving me a hard time!! She "blamed" it on her meds but i think she just has the hots for me!!!

oh and I had to harass cantw8t!! So I'm sorry...it was all Tigs fault...she picked on me and I had to give it back to someone else!!

oops got stop the picking now...the 2 year old just came in the room and I smelled him before I saw him...i'll be back!!

Good morning! We're back!

We got in last night and had a great trip! It was hot but no big deal. Plenty of places to cool down. I thought the crowds were very manageable and we stuffed ourselves silly! We hardly used any snack credits so on the last day we went to Goofys candy shop and burned 10 credits (to the tunes of $36.00!).
All in all a great trip once again although DH said no more values. But since we own DVC this was an exception anyways to get the free dining.

So, now onto grocery shopping, cleaning house and kicking butt on wedding stuff!

What'd I miss around here?

Well, Tah-rah, you're not the only one I'm giving a bad time to. Of course teva is always on the list, but that's not surprising. I'm even giving mickeysgal a bad time and I don't even really "know" her (it's about mom jeans and she kind of started it ), but she could probably use backup on the "If you could start your life all over again...." thread or especially the " Useless facts I've learned on the Dis" thread. That's where the mom jeans topic came up. But of course you are one of my favorite people to hassle. And speaking of people to hassle, where is Shug? I've given up on luv...she's MIA!
