red, when does Zack start school? I would totally back off talking about it unless he brings it up. I don't even think I would bring him for an outfit unless he really wants to go. Ask him if wants a new outfit and it he doesn't want to go, drop the subject. Or if he wants you to go to the store and pick it out, go with that. Maybe he feels overwhelmed and just isn't handling that well (and doesn't know how to put it into the right words). I always say that kids are such head cases!
And don't feel guilty about your feelings. I've had plenty of times that i just didn't enjoy being with Jake and felt awful and guilty for it. I had to face the fact that he's just not a real pleasant guy to be with sometimes, but I love him very much and would trade him for the world. He has a very strong personality, which is difficult to take. But the good is very good. I've really learned to look at things differently after having him, that is for sure (and it's been a very humbling parenting experience).
