They have the 15 night avail right now! It is killing me not to book it.:guilty:

so do it! :yay:

 Dh has to work, the kids will have school by then, what else...oh, there's the pesky problem with spending $10K on a cruise and then several thousand on the plane tix, WDW hotels/tickets/crap AND Disneyland hotels/tickets/crap.:sad1: I need money.:rotfl2:

54 rides on Tower of Terror Tig? Did you guys even go to any other parks? ;)

Angel, glad your puppy is back and you had a lovely evening with them.

Bomb, sounds like you are having a nice jollified Christmas even with the sickmas.

Popstar!!!!! I dreamed about you! I just want to tell you how much I enjoy your friendship. You are an upbeat, caring addition to this group, and I know many of us here truly feel our lives are more enriched for knowing you. I want to make sure you know that.

I've never been on any length of cruise. Dh is scared of boats. Well, not so much the boats, but the water under them.

morning. :headache:

Woke up to my 12 year old deciding to throw an everloving tantrum because I asked her to bring me a pair of pants from the laundry pile on the couch downstairs. Her sister was outside and DH is still pretty sick. She decided to give me what for about the fact that she is tired of being my "slave" and she doesn't want to do things for me anymore!

This is the same child that I cheerfully allowed to go out with a friend I had never met with her family that I had never met to a play at their church that I knew nothing about and stay out late. The same on that left evidence in my room that she had been in there yesterday without permission (a big no-no in our house) and had gotten into my make up (she isn't smart enough to put it away), and also took my telephone while talking to that friend and didn't replace it so I couldn't contact anyone in case of emergency (the phones have intercoms and with DH sick he is sleeping on the couch).

Needless to say, we have had a Come to Jesus meeting with her. It quickly went from "I am tired of being your slave", to "You are too overprotective" (cause we won't let her go see the Golden Compass), to "you are ruining my life" (cause we won't let her do whatever she wants on the internet), to "you all hate me".

She is in her room and has been told to take a nap. I suspect she may have PMS. I have to think that, it is the only think keeping me from killing her right now.

I told DH I was going to buy a plane ticket and go to my Mom's. The puking diarriah virus is sounding better to me than staying here with DD right now.

In this case, I can't imagine that she should come all the way out here, just to drive her dad home. The car service has obviously worked in the past. Is your mother able to care for your brother and step-father normally? I would think by the time your sister got here, your mother would be better. Are there other siblings?

My mom will probably still be sick the rest of today and still feeling crappy (litterally) through tomorrow the way this virus has been. My sister often goes to visit them just for an over night. So I wanted her to just drive up this morning, pick up her dad and then stay and help out and go home tomorrow afternoon.

At least give Mom time to rest and recover. My stepdad and brother are helpless--truly. They can not cook at all, if she can't fix them meals they go out to eat, but that isnt possible right now. DSis could fix a few meals and leave some things to just be heated up to make it easy for a few days. Apparently a few loads of towels need to be run in the laundry due to the illness--she could take care of those instead of Mom trying to get up and do it.

Once my stepdad is home Mom will not be able to rest. He is a PIA. They had to put an alarm on his bed in the hospital becuase he kept trying to get up when he couldn't even stand. He will demand meals and stuff and mom will feel she has to just take care of him, no matter how bad she feels. And my brother will probably end up getting this virus and if she isn't recovered yet she will be taking care of him on top of still feeling awful herself.

2 days. That is all I asked of my sister. 2 days to take care of HER parents and brother when they need her. Just so our mom can rest--so she doesn't end up in the hospital. I didn't think I was asking too much.

I've never been on a cruise either...I get sea sick.

So I've had an active morning. As payback for DH have the monsters...um, I mean children for an entire week last week I'm trying to give him a break today. So this morning I took the kids down to watch tv while he slept. Then I started re-arranging the living room (only got half way through, so the house is a disaster) then I took the kids to the mall to see Santa by myself, then we went to the mattress store and bought new mattresses for the girl's bunk beds, then we went to the fire station and bought our tree. It seems like I did a lot this morning, but that's not that much. I just got home and I'm taking a quick breather before I make lunch. After lunch I'm going to run out to a store in the neighborhood to get a hostess gift and then I'm taking the girl to a gingerbread making party. Then I have to finish rearranging the living room, put up the tree, decorate and then do dinner and finish decorating. I'll do the outside of the house, laundry, shopping, and baking tomorrow.

 Holy crap! I am tired just reading that!
Well, I am officially the last person in our family whose not barfing, so I guess it's just a waiting game now.:sad1:

Well, DD7 is mad at us now. She want some one to take her ice skating! :rotfl:

But guess who just came downstairs and asked if she could fix lunch for me and her sister? Can you say Mood Swings?

Can someone tell me about the Guitar Hero games? I know nothing about it? I have no idea what to get DH. He isn't huge on video games but he has an XBox. He just started playing guitar a few months ago and bought an electric guitar. He is just a bare bones beginner. Would he be likely to enjoy this game? What do you do? Would my girls like it? How do I decide between 1, 2 or 3?

Hey Scraps! My kids (and DH) absolutely love GH. We have both 1 and 2 and GH3 will be under the tree Christmas morning. I have heard really good things about the XBox version. Just be sure to buy the guitar controller that goes with it. Basically, the screen will show colored "buttons" that coincide with particular notes. The player has to hit the corresponding button on the controller at the right time. Has several different levels of play and the songs are pretty good. However, be prepared that you may have little ones running through the house singing "I love Rock and Roll" and "I want to be sedated." ;)

Well, I almost totally blew Christmas! I was going to get the boys (and DH) Rock Band as the "big" gift. I had it in my Amazon cart to pre-order and when I went to get it today they were sold out! Oopsies! So I started checking other sites and everywhere was either already sold out or not taking pre-orders. Its not being released until next week. So after searching and searching I was finally able to find one and ordered it. Cost me a little more from that store but oh well!

OK, back to decorating I guess (and a little shopping). I really don't feel like battling stores when I get out of work so I'm doing most of my shopping online.

Oh and Scrappy, my kids love Guitar Hero! I'm not sure what version they have though. Since they love that so much I know they'll love Rock Band. Your family will love it!!

Yes I have.

Well aren't you a fountain of information.:rotfl:
What did you think? Was it worth it for only 3 days? We could totally tack one on to our April trip and not lose a lot of park time. The kids and I have been on a 7 night and LOVED it, but I'm wondering if 3 days would just be too short. A 4 night won't fit into our schedule.

I woudn't make a special trip there to do a three day but as long as you are going to be there, I say go for it.

That's just me.

:lmao: I am picturing you saying 'That's how I roll':cool2:

Thanks. It's hard to know if we should. I hate to lose any amount of time at WDW...but I'd love to go to Castaway Cay again.:cloud9:

:tiptoe: Hello  I am not sulking. I am not in the witness protection program. I am not up to my elbows in flour, sugar, eggs and butter. I am on sabatical.

My pupper and I have taken long meaningful walks in the woods where I have let my disco fever rage while listening to my iPod and he's gotten in touch with his inner hunter chasing squirrels off leash.

I found the bottom of the laundry pile. :laundy:

I've gone through some of the boxes in the spare room I've been meaning to get to for almost 2 years and found our wedding pictures.

I'm reading some books I should have read long ago. It would have done me some good.

I'm spending evenings with my back to the monitor and getting some face time with my husband. He's sorta cute and I kinda like him when he's not being too arrogant.

Oh, and I figured out, if we go to bed at 10 and turn the lights out by 12, I get up earlier but I feel much better and much more rested. This gives me time to actually accomplish something during the day. Who'd have guessed? I was up at 8:15 today

Anyway, I just needed to step back, get some things together and rearrange some priorities. I'll be back more often soon but I'm not really gone. I check in once or twice a day even if I don't post.

But sorry, no cookies this year so you can stop watching your mailboxes :sad2:

 :tiptoe:

You asked, I answered! ;) It was a nice little cruise, just enough to be added onto a WDW trip. And to me cruising is cruising. Don't have to cook, having someone serve me and going to tropical locations is great.

Shug, sounds like what I should be doing.:guilty:

Merle, thanks for the input.:thumbsup2

Yes a three day is too short. You want to go on the REPO cruise with me!

I am enjoying a Sunset Wheat with an Orange slice.
