Just a quick check in before I say good night. My Christmas Tree is up! I did more work than I was supposed to, but with DH sick there was just no other choice. The kids can't put the lights on. And the lights just about killed me! One stupid strand that worked before I put it on, and of course didn't work after it was on Needless to say, I got a bit testy after several hours of putting the tree together and getting the lights on.

We used our Slim Tree this year because of some space issues so we had to use a bit less ornaments so none of my Disney ornaments went on. I am going to try to find our 3 ft tree tomorrow and see if I can set it up in our bedroom with my Disney stuff. My goal next year is to be able to put up both trees and use the Slim tree for my Disney Tree.

I also set up my little Christmas Village and hung the stockings. We still have some more things to get out and set up tomorrow.

DH is the biggest wuss. We just put zicam in his nose to keep him from getting sicker and he's yelling "it burns it burns!" oh dear...

...

I am a wuss too--Zicam does burn!

You just gave me a great idea Scrappy. I have a whole village, but have never put it up, just been collecting it. The house that dd went to the party at, she had her village set up and it was so pretty, it made me start thinking I have to start puting it up. I don't have any place for it though. I was going to borrow a table from my friend, but you made me think about the fireplace mantel with your stockings talk. Hmmmm, that might just work out well.

What do you have your sitting on? This lady had it on a table, and all her buildings were on a thick white cottony thing, and she had snow sprinkled all over it. So pretty!

Mine is on my fireplace hearth. My hearth is a raised brick. I put down Angel Cloud to look like snow. It is probably a bit much for the scene but it was what I had. I only have 3 builidngs and a few trees and some people. I thought about putting it on the mantle but I have several snowglobes and other things that usually go up there. I also have a train that is supposed to go around it but no room for it in the family room. Next year I hope to be able to set it up in the Living Room where I will have more space.

I really want some Disney Village pieces. I have been looking on Ebay and also at what Disney Shopping has this year.

Yeah, I am not doing so good at that. I really am going to have to stay off of it tomorrow. I am really swollen so I won't have much choice. Sitting still is just not my strong suit.

I learned awhile ago, to always put lights up while lit! Especially the ones outside on the roof
