Hi guys. I'm so sad. My girlfriend's sister was treated for breast cancer a couple of years ago. Yesterday she had an MRI of her brain. She has brain mets. :sad1:

If you could send good thought or prayers her way, I would appreciate it. Her names Cindy and she's a real sweetheart.

Teva

Tig....Do you have credits at Towson? If you can transfer them, Lanham is really close to the University of Maryland's College Park campus. It's also right next to Bowie (Bowie State). If he worked there and you wanted to move closer, I'd advise Anne Arundel County schools over PG county.

No I don't, but Towson is the closest college that has occupational therapy. Even if we moved, it wouldn't be until after this school year since we want Ben to graduate here and I hope to start school before that.

Off to shower--we're doing a couple errands tonight and bringing Ben out to dinner for his birthday (nevermind that he brought him out for an early birthday dinner on Saturday).

I think I just grew 7 new gray hairs here. Geez this is slow today.

Tig, how are things today?

How far is your husband willing to commute?

Been better. :sad2:

He's looking all over the place. Talked to a recruiter today about a job in Alexandria. Went to an interview last week across the street from Dulles Airport. There's the Lanham job. One in Columbia, but that one is real strange--he hasn't heard back from this person (an old co-worker/friend of his) and I think that the other guy is concerned about DH being qualified for his job. There's one possiblity near Tyson's Corner and another one that's in NoVa, too (I think that's where that one is). I don't really care as long as he gets a job, I can go back to school, and I can get things in order for the future. :thumbsup2

Been better. :sad2:

Sorry

I have to call my girlfriend Judy. (Cindy's sister) I don't want to. I know she is taking this really hard in regards to her sister. She didn't take it well when her sister was diagnosed with the breast cancer. She's an ICU nurse, she know's the deal. I don't know what to say to her. :sad1:

Thanks teva...I know that things will be difficult for quite some time, but this can of worms had to be opened eventually.

Tell her you're thinking about her and that you love her. No magic words, but hearing that you care makes a world of difference.

Hi Pixie.

I called her. She wasn't as bad as I thought she would be but I don't think it's really sunk in yet. Cindy started radiation today at my place and their other sister Patty will be starting radiation in Philly next week for a tumor that is growing behind her one eye and causing her to lose her vision. Judy (my friend) will be driving Patty every day and Cindy's mom will be bringing her to us for her txs. That poor family. :sad2:

Anyway, you're right, Tig, that can of worms did have to be opened and even though it's difficult to deal with at least that part isn't hanging over your head now. Remember what I said, I'm a phone call away.

Hi Merle, Tiff, Pixie, Lara :wave2:

Mercy! Thing 2's teacher just asked to speak with me. Seems I almost had a boy in double casts!

She said he had wound his arms in the bars of the jungle gym and then attempted to jump and was hanging. Two of the K teachers quickly ran up and grabbed him from either side and lifted him up so he could get loose. He's a hefty boy, 76 lbs last week at the dr. office, and she said it looked like his arms were about to snap any minute, they were both bent backwards unnaturally. How scary! She was still breathing hard when she told me!

Paige :scared1:

I am having a very very very very very very bad day. Can't really get into why.

Oh hell people I have an aneurism and can't retain much :snooty:

Alana's not home from home yet. She should of been home 45 minutes ago. I'm worried, but not panicking yet. She called my cell phone an hour ago at the end of school, but I didn't get it in time. I called back and spoke with her algebra teacher. Alana had wanted to stay after school, but wanted to ask me first. Since she couldn't get a hold of me, her teacher told her to go home on the bus. That was the last we know. She may have decided to go to Cougar Act (after school homework help) and just not let me know. If that's the case, she would be home in 10-20 minutes, taking the activity bus home. I tried calling the Algebra teacher again, but she has already left. I'm trying to stay calm. I'll panic if she's not home in 1/2 hour.

Oh geez, Caro! Make sure you kick her butt after you hug her!

Hey all. Thought I drop in and give you the wonderful news. They've found the source of my fatigue. I have Epstien-Barr virus  Sigh...as if I didn't have enough things wrong already. :sad2:

Oh crap, Shug.

Don't worry about the November trip, we'll all take turns poking you awake.

I'm first!!

ohmybejeezus, people - here's a freakin' hug and prayer for everyone - what a shi**tty week all around!
