I finally got in by using the new password correctly I had to send for. I changed my password and couldn't remember what I changed it too. This morning I realized I have been typing in the wrong thing.

I hear ya, BUT (don't you love the but), so it takes you a little more time to save up for the house, the promotion will mean more money, with more opportunities that could mean more money, so actually living closer could be looked at as an investment. Plus, who wants to live with their parents?

OK ladies, I need some career advice. So I've been with my firm since I graduated college (a year now) and a few weeks ago, was put on a client in the DC area. So anyways, I got my rating at work (exceptional) which means I'm up for early promotion next year (a year early) if I stay in the NYC office. If I stay on the client down here, I wouldn't be up for early promotion, simply because there are opportunties in the NYC office to step up and take the senior role. I'm happier down here and feel like it's a nice change to get out of NJ (even though I love it) and do something different. I hated working in NYC, but I figure I can just bear it out for a year and then come back if I wanted to. I don't really feel challenged down here, but I have a meeting with the sr. mgr to talk about this.

My coach and seniors in NY think I should head back there but my mom and dad think I should stay where I'm happy since they saw how much working in NYC really drained me mentally and physically (the 1.5 hour commute each way is a killer too). I asked my friends Saturday night and they were split. Oh, and also my friends and family are all up in NJ too.

So, what do you think?

I would follow, you know the little henry dude inside of us? our gut instinct? I would go with where you will be happier, but my advice, and no as others here know I am not into the big church thing, but have a realtionship with him, put it all in his hands, he will lead the way. Only he knows what will come in your future life, I wish the best for you, and good luck with whichever you decide

Tim, I say go with the job that makes you happy! I could make a lot more money if I used my degree, but I stick with my current job because i love it.

Oh, and you could always save up and buy a house in FL. They're much cheaper down here than in NJ

We're going out to Mongolian BBQ tonight--Ron's birthday is next week when I'll be in Myrtle Beach with my boys, so we're all going out tonight. My head still feels , though. I think I can take more meds now (other than the 2 vicodin that I've taken), but it will make me sleep (sleepier...I should have napped when I had a change today). Maybe go the vicodin route since one of them was a lot earlier.

I did hear from Scrappy and things were ok. If anyone gets any details when she gets home, please copy/paste me a PM about it. Thanks!
