So my Cirque tickets never showed up and I called them today. They say they were sent back. Verified address and such. Everything was correct. They couldn't tell me why they were sent back. I was hoping they made note so I knew what it said on the envelope. Let's just say I don't think it was the mailman and it will be brought up at dinner tonight. I am so sick of this crap.

ETA: For those of you that don't know my one BIL is a pathological liar and a thief. Beyond that he just likes to mess with people. Especially Myster and I.

No kidding on the chalky stuff. For her first one it was right after she was sick with one of her pre-surgery episodes. It took so long to drink it that the scan was almost pointless.
Her second one was pre-surgery last summer. She drank that pretty well. The problem is that she is a super-taster and has HUGE texture issues. It makes most flavors hard for her to drink. Should be fun!

OH, violence, can I help?

I want to go to those huts over the water. That is my #1 dream vacation.

Ugh Myst. That is crap.

Frogz, hon, there's a reason he isn't supposed to have it. There are a lot more chemicals stored in beef than in fowl and non-shellfish seafood (he can't have shellfish either), and in cured pork for that matter. His liver can not process as many chemicals. Also, his cholesterol is very high. Red meat is not good for that.

talked to my mom and she sounds much better. She says she's still a little shaky and has no plans to do much but sit. He doctor told her to drink plenty of fluids, so her her good friend Linda and DH went out and got some stuff for her to drink and some cut up fruit. I don't know how I can ever repay them for what they have been doing for my Mom. It brings tears to my eyes actually.
She has some scaring on her lungs which I guess is normal and goes to see the doctor next Friday. Linda wrote down all the instructions for her meds so she doesn't get confused again.

ok in medical situations, no beef is acceptable. (wehich is one reason i never go to drs) but ground turkey is still just wrong. turkey should be roasted and sliced, or else smoked and eaten with the hands. i dont care what htey saya bout the health benifits. if it aint sposed to be bird then it just shouldnt be eaten,,lol

Gotcha Frogz. I think dh would agree. But I do hope he doesn't go back to buying ground beef. I've pretty much quit eating meat all together, as has Thing 2. We didn't like it that much to begin with. Thing 1 was complaining that meat "didn't taste right" after our vegetarian vacation........and has been eating quite a bit less as well. Like I said, he was urging his father to go vegetarian at lunch. Which dh would rather die than do.........

Ugh. Last day of medevil torture camp. Had to make the dreaded call to the ortho's office to inform him it didn't help. Nope, not in the least. Waiting for that call back now. NOT a call I wanted to make. And I got to ask for pain meds on top of it. My stomach is in knots.

good news! My Mom came home from the hospital last night! I haven't talked to her yet, will call her in a little while.

I am back from getting my hair done just had a late lunch, and at home cooling off from this heat

The latest issue from cooking light had a lot of recipes for hamburgers made of of turkey, and one turkey/lamb -- trying to change some eating habits around here, not sure if I am going to like that one, but I am willing to try it.


a quick and easy meal around here we like: angel hair pasta, toss with a little olive oil, and fresh basil, garlic, tomatoes, feta cheese -- then chicken or shrimp
