why is it that my phone never rings, unless i'm trying to take a nap, and then it rings every 10 minutes or so? Now that I'm up it probably won't ring the rest of the night.

Scrappy, what kind of centerpieces did you do?

CHEAP ones! I will have to take a picture. I cut out flip flop shapes from Construction paper in our team colors. I threaded them with ribbon to look like the strap part of the flip flop and glued on a silk flower at the "toe". Then I glued the flip flops to a white paper lunch bag. I am putting some sand in the bottom to weight it down, then floral foam and some of the Leatherleaf greenery they put with roses, and I found small pinwheels in our team colors to put in. So it is like a flower boquet only with the 3 pinwheels and lots of greenery. Cost less than $2 each.

They wanted a beach theme. This is beach, but also in the team colors of red and blue.

Tell them it's self serve...everything.


Our swim team just did a cook out and not a banquet. Pretty simple.

Yeah, well since we have "cook out" food for every meet they refuse to have that again for the banquet. We have a bunch of pampered princesses that want Filet Mignon catered, don't want to pay for it, and don't want to lift a finger to help with any of the work or planning or fundraising. They just want to complain.

I've been on vicodin all day long, but am going to break down and take maxalt once I get the van loaded. My older boys are pissing me off--only thinking of themselves and not lifting a finger to do anything else to pack up. And yes, I've made it clear what needs to be done. When they have to bring everything in to the condo tomorrow they are not going to be too happy.

Hmmm, I wonder if teo made it over to where Paige is yet.

We are here and pretty much settled in. The kids caught up with their friends and are of somewhere. My DH is asleep in the camper (he had to work last night, got home around 9 AM and was able to take a couple hour nap). So here I sit. Its pretty quiet for the most part but boy is it hot!
Do I need to read back a mllion pages or are their cliff notes somewhere?

Any hot boxes this evening?

OK, so I read all the way back to this morning. And so now...taking cue from Merle;

Howdy, my hotties.

My house is so quiet right now, because everyone but me is still asleep. But wait... don't be jealous... I was up half the night with Molly (again). I'm wondering if she's getting sick, because she was a little bit demonic yesterday, then up half the night. Thank the good Lord that her father is home today.

So what's new? I haven't read back yet. Guess I could go do that.

Hugs to Molly...hope she feels better. Caitlin was up last night too...she was complaining of an upset stomach yesterday and then had diahreaha a few times. Then last night she had an accident for the first time in forever. Take a nap today so that you can get some rest!

Must be the week for sick kids - DD18 had her first asthma attack in years - had to run to the ER for a nebulizer treatment - the hospital is getting to be a weekly visit - blech! hugs to all little sickies.............

I'm sitting in my office fighting the tears...it has been beyond horrible today.

I just want to go home! I can't take any more.

Banquet is Sunday. Surviving so far, just waiting patiently for the next disaster. .

Centerpieces are done except for putting the greenery in them. They are pretty stinking cute if I do say so myself!!! Still have to go to Costco and do the shopping tomorrow. Right now I have about 2 volunteers to help with set up and all that. HMMMM, they better find some friends cause I can't do it with the limitations of my feet. I am assuming that God will privide. If not when people show up to eat at 3:00 I will tell them to grab their own chairs, and maybe their own Table!!
