Tig, obsessed, NEVER!!!!;)
Sorry no text plan here. I actually can't even get texts. Some fool that I don't know kept texting me and running up my bill, so we blocked the texting.
I would love to talk to you though. I know I'm already in your cell, I'll put you in mine.:lmao:
Oh, no, did I make a drunken dialing to you before? :scared:

Merle, no, not hard to figure out, especially when there's a reply option. And I made the appt. Still have one more to make, however. Then it's laundry and a mani/pedi. :cool1:

have any of you guys ever eaten at the melting pot?

Yes, several times. Not a cheap place for sure, but good if you like that sort of thing. We brought our kids once and they liked it, too. We're going there for our anniversary.

How not cheap, for two people? and do you think it has stuff that's okay to eat while pregnant?

Have you checked out their website? http://www.meltingpot.com/ There's the full course dinner (which does have the vegie option, which of course is what we get), but we prefer to get cheese fondue and then chocolate fondue. So that's not terribly expensive. I think it's worth it, however--we've always had great service and it's a lot of fun. It can easily take 2-3 hours for dinner if you get the whole shebang.

Yeah, real easy! :sad2: Once I figured out that I needed to switch to ABC mode it went rather smothly.

Yes.

Depends on what you get. The whole thing, which is cheese, main course and dessert can cost a lot, but doing just one can be quite resonable. Ours was expensive but we got one that included steak, lobster and shrimp in the main dish.

I want cheese and dessert. I need dessert.

For 2 people I think that's around $14 for each of the items, plus tax and tip. Sometimes we add a salad in for something a little less rich. :) So good! Now I don't want to wait until my anniversary. :rotfl:

Hmm, maybe we'll do it, it sounds like fun. I was mostly just unsure whether duck and fondue cooking at the table was good for preggos.

Merle, the nursery's colors are light pink, green, white and light lavender.

Ash, the nursery colors sound pretty. Go out to dinner. You deserve it.

Ash...go now, it will be years before you can go to dinner at a place with open flames again. I've not been to the Melting Pot, but only because my kids would probably end up burning the place down. Also, 2-3 hours for dinner is like a torture session in my world...we go for places like Chili's...we have the menu memorized to make it easier....we sit down and order the entire dinner when the server comes for the drink order....we can be in and out in about 45 minutes.

They don't use an open flame to cook with. You could always just do dessert, the kids would probably love that. :thumbsup2

i just read a ton of bad reviews on it. and i don't know where to go on our special date. :(

We have a date tomorrow night too, Ash. Can't decide where to eat either, but after dinner we are going to the Bilmore Estate for the B-52s concert. Our Melting Pot is closed. It was flooded during Hurricane Frances and never reopened.

Tin Roof Rusted!!!! Love Shack, Baby, Love Shack

musical interlude over....

No Tig, you've never drunk dialed me.

You're going to see the B-52s?!?! I love them!

Rock Lobsterrrrrr!

haha.

I've been doing research on restaurants for a couple of hours now and I think I'm going to try this mediterranian place that has gotten really great reviews. One of my best friends is from the middle east and growing up I used to love to go to her house to eat because the food was really good. I thought I had found a fun looking place until they said that they didn't serve sweet tea. And DH thinks he can't live without that sugary nasty stuff so that won't do.
