I spent the morning looking for the reason dh thinks he's being jabbed with needles, attempting to teach reading to two classes since there's a sub next door who can't seem to be able to show children how to work leap pads, computers or a tape recorder, escorting a child who was throwing up to the nurse, arguing with said nurse about whether or not child actually threw up, then lying down in said nurse's office because I was dizzy from the topamax, then having a fire drill.

Now I'm here.

Greetings. How was our little musical prodigies yesterday?

It wasn't so bad. I was just in a lazy mood and didn't feel like teaching all afternoon.

The one I'm most worried about in terms of the recital is coming this afternoon. He had the world's worst lesson last week. Surly (but talented) 15yo boy who just made the freshman baseball team and has now given up piano practice just when he had a challenging piece to get ready by the end of March. I'm sweating bullets on this one.

The rest of my teenagers are pulling their acts together, which is a relief. The littler ones are no trouble, because they learn their new pieces in a week no problem. It's the more advanced ones that keep you up at night.

You were out galavanting with your family, young lady. MIL decided she wanted go on a cruise with us and the kids. It's only the four day though. First we were going to split paying for the kids (and MIL was going to pay for herself and DH and I were going to pay for ourselves). Well she decided to spring for the whole thing. We said we would pick up the onboard tab (she doesn't drink so her charges won't be much, except for maybe onboard pictures ). WE booked two connecting Cat. 6 rooms. This should be interesting.

I need a drinking buddy.
