I wonder how much they paid Kim Cattrall for that cameo, I’m not sure it added anything to the episode, except for the throwback to paying attention, which is really similar to what she said when Carrie sold her apartment the first time before she did not get married to Big.

I do appreciate the fact that they show women in their 40s and 50s still having active sex lives. I think that’s really positive. And I could be wrong, but I thought this episode was the first time they ever showed Carrie having sex without having a bra on. I know that Sarah Jessica Parker had some real strict limits on nudity in her contract in the past.

She got 1 million dollars for the cameo.

Did anyone else catch the new Fallout series on Prime? I know these are vastly different shows, but Sarita Choudhury (Seema) was in it. I had several moments where I expected her to remove her grimy post apocalyptic garb and reveal some fabulous AJLT/SATC worthy outfit and bag.

I watched it. It’s so bad. It just drags. There’s no flow. Everyone feels stiff. Charlotte’s character is just off. I don’t know what it is. It all feels so wrong.

I haven’t watched episode three yet but the first two episodes were as you described. I’ll keep watching it though. I loved the original series so I’m gonna keep going with AJLT.

That said, I had to fast forward the Aidan scene in the truck. Sooo cringe.

I just started watching this season yesterday. I had given up HBO for a while and there is enough I want to watch to warrant the cost.

I'm glad to hear that she dumps him. After his cheating and breaking her vintage window and acting like a baby because of it, I was yelling at the TV that she was being far to kind to him.

Im also glad Aidan is gone. I really liked him back on SATC and was rooting for him and Carrie, but I feel like he lost his appeal. He used to be the silent, handsome wood worker. He was sensitive and introspective and was very swoon-worthy lol. Now he is just a dorky farmer with lame dad jokes. I like the downstairs writer for Carrie.

The writers on AJLT did him dirty. I was always rooting for Big over Aidan in the original series but dang the writers of AJLT really turned Aidan into a very unlikable person.

Bringing him back just to do that seems wrong. They could have done so much more with this storyline. The new writing has been so off to me.

Yeah I never liked Aiden, and always preferred Big. I always thought Aiden was manipulative in a good guy way... the smoking, the apartment, he always came off as superior and pretentious ... so his character now is a logical extension of that for me.

Maybe it is my circumstances but it has been resonating with me, it is not the same as Sex and the City, but there are times it makes me laugh .... Charlotte and Henry both being out of commission at the same time is very reminiscent of my life as my husband and I nurse simultaneous injuries...
