PM EMHs Worth It for Smaller Rides?

So, I realize that the general consensus is the pm EMHs are awful (although if anyone's had a different experience this summer, please tell). However, I was wondering if the smaller attractions are packed, too. Are Fantasyland rides a mess? Pirates?

How about Great Movie Ride or Voyage of the Little Mermaid in MGM?

Dinosaur and Primevil Whirl in AK?

I realize that the marquee attractions may be packed, but are the smaller things packed, too?

I'm actually really interested in AK at night, so any additional comments on that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

In my opinion NO ride is worth the PM EMH. We just got back from an 18 day trip and we Did not do EMH in the PM because it was totally NUTS!!
Wall to wall people. Disney could not PAY me to do it. No way :rotfl:

We arrive Monday Aug 8th @WL, expect to be at resort around 8pm(allowing 2hours for ME).

It is a Magic Kingdom EMH night, was planning to take boat over to grab some food and maybe watch a show(fireworks/fantasmic or other). Should we just skip it and hang out at WL, or maybe explore Downtown Disney(or boardwalk) and grab food there? Park tickets are not a big deal we have 7 day tickets but are only really using 6.

We did PM EMH on July 8th and it was great! Probably our best park day of the trip. We got to MK around 7 and only planned to stay until 10. We were having such a great time that we stayed until 1:45am! The only lines that we long enough for us to skip were Dumbo and Peter Pan. We had very minimal waits for Jungle Cruise, Pirates, Flying Carpets, Small World, Buzz, Space Mtn, and the Indy Speedway. We would definately do it again!

Guess it depends on what time of year and which rides.

When we went in May, EMH in MK was a bit crowded but we were able to walk right onto Buzz Lightyear, Dumbo multiple times, the Carousel and just a wait for the elevator on Astro Orbitor. The little rides were pretty much walk up and get on.

I wanted to go on Space Mountain but the line was a bit long and I didn't want to make my wife and kids wait for me.

In Epcot, we could walk right onto Spaceship Earth and Journey into Imagination but Mission Space had a little wait, and Soarin' was ridiculous.

I can imagine that EMH during peak times would lose it's magic.
