Please share your crowd and weather experience for the first half of May:) We have been once in May but it was a long tome ago(2006) and I remember the crowds were pretty low...We love going in late Sept. early October for the low crowds and hot weather. With the amount of money Disney cost we plike to go in the low crowd times, KWIM? But now that our oldest in high school sports the coaches are not as easy going about her missing practice/games for a trip. Teachers don't care its just the coaches. So we decided to move our Fall 2015 trip to May 2016 (only 7 extra months to wait uhg, it better go by fast)!!. We are planning on May 13th-22nd. School testing is over, and its before Memorial day weekend. Memorial Day that year is the 30th, so hoping to avoid those crowds. TIA:goodvibes

go to WDW. crowds are in the lower moderate range. ( http://www.easywdw.com/may14-v10.jpg ) The link is for 2014 but next year will not be that different. Most short-term refurbs are done. The weather can be warm but is not as bad as JJA.

May Weather: Temperatures rise significantly in May, with an average high of 87 and an average low of 69 degrees. Historically, May is among the driest months in Orlando, with only a 13% chance of precipitation. Based on a fifteen year average.

That is also from www.easywdw.com . It is worth reading.

We were there in May 2013, similar dates to yours, and loved it. As the PP said, nice low crowds and the weather isn't TOO hot yet. It can get pretty sweltering for a couple of hours around/after lunch, but an afternoon a/c break from the parks can help deal with that. Otherwise, the weather was great--a bit of rain, but definitely not the most we've ever had. I hope you have a lovely trip!! :goodvibes

it would be nice as long as you like lovebugs. They are bi-annual swarms of mating lovebugs. They are everywhere. April/May and Aug/Sept.

The one thing to remember is Star Wars Weekends. Historical that weekend you want to go is the first weekend for SWW. The crowds are low at MK, Epcot, AK, but DHS will be insanely crowded on the weekends.

We have gone for the past 2 years in May and love it, I am big Star Wars fan so we go to SSW. Low crowds at DHS Mon - Thur. Thats when we go to do rides and shows
