I could have had more fruits and veggies, but tomorrow is another day! I swam some laps in the pool today too. All in all, not a bad week! Thanks for reading. I am going to bed!

Hey there! Today was my first cheat day, and it was oh so good lol! I started out the day with toast for breakfast, and then my mom and I went out to lunch for Mother's Day. We tried this fun, homey place called Bubba's. We both decided that we would eat a more casual meal this year because I always take her to fancy places that end up to be mediocre at best. I call it the Mother's Day curse! But today...the curse was broken! We shared an appetizer of fried shimp stuffed with cheese and jalapenos. Then we both had salads and corn muffins. For my meal, I ordered grilled chicken and french fries. I didn't finish all of it, and ended up having the leftovers for dinner, along with some applesauce. I am about to have a slice of peanut butter pie for dessert.

All in all, a nice break from worrying about everything I put in my mouth, but tomorrow it's back to business! I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day. Goodnight!:wizard:

Happy Monday everyone! Well, I guess it's not so happy because I'm at work, not home lounging by the pool!:surfweb: I forgot my darn soy milk again this morning! I really hate Mondays! I feel rushed and all I want to do is go back to bed! I'm sure I'm not alone in this thinking!;)

Hi everyone, sorry I didn't update yesterday. It was a terrible day. We had to put our 12 1/2 year old Golden Retriever Reggie to sleep yesterday morning. He had a bad back and Monday night he would not eat anything and could barely walk. He needed help getting up and when he was finally up, he would walk sideways a few steps and fall down. So we brought him to the vet yesterday morning, expecting that it was something with his spine or back, and found out he was filled with cancer and bleeding from his spleen and liver. They don't operate when there's bleeding from multiple organs and we made the decision to end his suffering. I am still in shock right now. I miss him so much and the house is so quiet without him. We also have a 6 year old Golden named Randy, and he is looking all over the place for his buddy. It breaks my heart. I didn't eat as well as I should have yesterday. I get that way when I'm depressed. I will try to remember what I ate.

I am going to try and take a walk tonight to get out of the house. We are supposed to get thunderstorms, so we'll see if I can squeeze a walk in between storms.

I hope everyone is having a good day.

UPDATE: Did not take a walk or swim. It was thundering and raining from the time I got home to the time I went to bed. It's just as well. I wasn't feeling up to it anyway. My mom and I stayed in and watched American Idol.

I'm so sorry to hear about your dog -- our pets are members of the family, aren't they?

I know we're getting close to that point with our kitty, as well. We got her right after we got married, so she is almost 18 years old. Her fur is a little clumpy and she's walking a little gimpy. I'm afraid that if we take her to the vet, we'll never get her back -- so I'm not taking her until she seems "not okay", if you know what I mean. Cuz right now, she still seems happy.

Good luck with your food/exercise plan this week. Still cheering for you!!! :yay:

Thanks for the kind words. I really appreciate it. They are definately a member of the family, and they take a little piece of your heart with you when they pass on. :sad2:

Aww, your poor kitty! 18 is pretty old! I'm glad she is happy. That's what's important! We used to have cats too. I pretty much love all animals.

I hope you have a good day today. :flower3:

Hello! I am so glad it's nearly Friday! This has been a very rough week, and it has been a struggle to not go completely off the wagon. I seem to eat the most when I am stressed or depressed. Mineral water

Snack:
Zone bar

Lunch:
Pastrami and cheese sandwich
Applesauce (no sugar added)
Water

Happy Friday everyone! I am glad the end to a very rough week is here. I am feeling so/so about getting on the scale tomorrow. But according to my chart I am supposed to be at 211 tomorrow, which I have already passed. So I am not going to beat myself up if the scale doesn't read something below 209. I haven't had my soy milk for two days, which is bad. I will definately remember tomorrow because I don't have to rush off to work.

Breakfast:
Granola bar

Snack:
Yogurt

Lunch:
Pastrami and cheese sandwich
Cucumbers
Mineral water

Well I weighed myself and I was up a little bit - 210.8, which after the week I had, could have been a lot worse! I didn't exactly eat great the second half of the day yesterday, but I want to be honest about what I've eaten, even if it's a little embarrassing!

I now have a little stair-stepper! I am so excited! My neighbor across the street had it out for the garbage. I walked over and checked it out. It is in perfect condition, so I took it! I started using it last night, and boy did I feel the burn in my knees! It will take a little getting used to, but I am so happy to have it!

Glass of chocolate soy milk
French toast

Chicken quesadilla
Applesauce (no sugar added)

Oh my goodness Plumeria,

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your Reggie.:sad1: About a month ago, we lost our 12 year old lab. :sad1: When she died, our 13 year old lab was looking all over the place for her and was very confused as to where the other dog had gone. It was a very difficult time for our family. Pets are like family aren't they?:grouphug: I'm so sorry for your loss.

That is great that you have a stair stepper now! With the swimming and stair stepping, you'll be set to go!

I hope you have a great Sunday!

Hi everyone! I hope you had a good weekend! Yesterday was not such a good day for me food-wise, and I'd rather not talk about it in great detail lol. Let's just say it involved Burger King and huge cinnamon rolls.:rolleyes1:rolleyes1:rolleyes1

I want to get back on track this week, and also start to exercise, so I can still meet my weigh-in goal on Saturday. I started using my stair-stepper this weekend and it worked muscles I didn't even know I had!!:headache: It will take a little time to get used to, since I am so out of shape, so I will make a point of getting on it everyday.

:sad1:I am sorry to hear about your loss as well. Labs are so sweet too. They are very similar to goldens and are definately members of the family! Our other golden was looking for him last week. I think he's now starting to get used to the fact that his brother isn't coming back. It just breaks my heart.:sad2:

Okay, trying to get back on track here! A lesson learned for me - NEVER look at the Disney Food Pictures thread when you're trying to be good!:rotfl:

I can't believe it's already Monday again. The weekends go way too fast! I hope everyone had a nice one! I am looking forward to the holiday weekend, because I have a four-day weekend!

Food for today:

Breakfast:
Half of an orange muffin
Mineral water

Snack:
Pepperoni bread

Lunch:
Rice with ground chicken, cheese, and taco sauce
Cucumbers
Applesauce (no sugar added)
Grape juice (no sugar added)

Snack:
Pepperoni bread (very small piece)
Yogurt

Dinner:
Roast beef sandwich
Mineral water

I know what you're probably thinking...."Jeez she eats a lot of Mexican food!" Well, I do...but today for example, the ground chicken is lean, the rice is low fat, the taco sauce is not fattening, and I use a small amount of cheese. Just enough for flavor. I mix it all up and eat it that way. It's a very yummy meal, in my opinion.:lovestruc

I did not eat dessert tonight! It was hard, but I resisted!
