Just an FYI because I don't know that it has been mentioned, the "bride" makes the ultimate decision the voting is just a tool to give her feedback on what the listeners think. I will say though I wouldn't choose this venue to find a mate they are taking it more seriously than I thought when I heard about the promotion. They did intensive background checks and lie detector testing, and are trying to find someone that is compatible with the bride. I kind of thought they were just going to throw two people together, but they are doing alot of interviewing.

I totally understand your thoughts and differing opinions.

I couldn't do this, but to each their own. It's something he's really gung ho about and after listening to her for 3 weeks on the radio, he's really into her.

Tomorrow he'll talk to her one more time, and she'll get to talk to his Mom (my MIL) and an ex-girlfriend to get a better feel of his character.

Hey everyone!

Just wanted to let everyone know that my BIL "Max" was NOT proposed to this morning.

He is grateful as he thinks one of the other potential brides that wasn't selected to be THE bride is better suited for him. He'll go to the Queen Mary next Friday to the wedding to be introduced to the other 'contestants'.

Thanks to you all for voting for him. Even with all of our efforts, he only came in 3rd place with about 1800 votes. The 'winner' is "Carl", a 52 year old Psychologist, never been married, and had over 3,000 votes. Doris says she selected him based on compatibility not voting results.
