Please tell me how this works.. UPH

Well, I actually know how a UPH works. My question is regarding posts I've seen mentioning buying UPHs at the resort and then having them take off the first and last days. I thought the only way to do this was to do multiple ressies. Could someone tell me how this works?? We are checking in 11/3 @ 7pm. don't need 1st day, leaving @ 10am on 11/7, don't need last day, so we only need 3 days of UPH. If you can really do this remove 1st/last day thing the price is almost exactly the same for the 2nt./3day UPH as it is for the 3day PHP that I saw somewhere else on these boards, @ 175$. Can this be?? Cause that would be great!!!

I have been able to have them remove first and last days when I purchased them at the resort. Never has been a problem at several resorts.

We also have done this on 2 different occasions. Never any problems. Saved us alot of money also.

So, this sounds like an awesome way to save money. We will be staying 7 nights, but we will not use all 8 days on the UPH. Exactley how do I get them to remove the first and last day? Thanks for your help in advance.

I think it only works with the gate price, not the advance price. You can ask at check-in.

I am curious about this too. We will be staying 6 days 5 nights but will be arriving midday to afternoon on check in day and leaving early on checkout day, leaving from chicago area.

We really only need 4 days at the parks, but the extras with the UPH might be nice. It would be nice to go to the parks, or whatever else on check in day.

How much is saved if they knock off parts of the UPH price like this?

We originally were going to get 4 day park hoppers.Then plannedto get an AP if the discounts come out. This option, reduced UPH days might be worth it if the price is right.

If you prepurchase your Ultimate Park Hoppers, (including any sort of package deal), you will not be able to remove anything. They will be active from when you check in, until midnight on the day you check out.

If you purchase them at the desk - (thus not getting the advance purchase discount), you can take off the first and last days.

Okay this may be a stupid question, but all I am seeing is taking off the first AND last day. What if we only want to remove the LAST day. Is this possible. My TA at DU said she thought I would have no problem doing this, but just wanted to hear from anybody that's done it. Thanks

Thats no problem, I have done that at the poly, at AKL and
last year at the Swan. It worked great, and no one ever gave
us any problem. Flying from south Texas takes a day, so our travel days are not park days!
