We're excited to have ADR's at the following restaurants! Some we've been to and some will be new, and was hoping you all wouldn't mind mind sharing what your favorite dinner has been at these?

Obviously not all have had good meals at these or may not like them, but for those that do enjoy dinner at:

Chefs de France
Marrakesh
San Angel Inn
Brown Derby
Kona
Rose and Crown
Tutto Italia

Any or all, one word or pages .. whatever you'll say we'd love to hear and would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks you so much, and hope you all have a Magical weekend!

We have only eaten at 2 of those places you have ADR's at.

At Kona(which is one of my favorite places to eat) I always get the sticky wings appetizer, and the Teriyaki-style New York Strip - sirloin strip grilled with pineapple teriyaki glaze served with mashed Yukon gold potatoes and stir-fried broccolini $24.99 as my entree.(took that description from allears) I cannot stress how fantastic these 2 are!LOL Really, really delicious. We have eaten there many times and have never had bad food.

Tutto Italia(my favorite place to eat!!) DH and I split the Fresh "Bufala" Mozzarella - vine ripened tomatoes, basil and Tuscan olive oil $15(I took this from allearsnet menu) and I get the Penne Caprese with crushed tomatoes, mozzarella cheese and basil $24. DH gets the lasagna. Both are to die for!

Chefs de France - Ate here in April (pics and reviews are in my April link) and we loved everything we ordered, the mac and cheese is the best ever and the french onion soup is wonderful!

San Angel Inn Ate here last month (pics and reviews are in my Oct link) and it was very good. DH had a pork taco dish and I had the filet tenderloin with a chicken enchilada that was to die for

Kona Love love love breakfast here, everything is a hit. Ate dinner here once and the only thing we liked were the wings, salad and the bread

Tutto Italia The food here is just incredible, we ate here in March and last month (both links have a ton of pics and reviews) and the food doesnt disappoint. Last month I had the pumpkin raviolis and DH had the sausage rigatoni that was possibly the best we have ever had.

Desnik, THANK YOU! That's two of the the restaurants where we've never had dinner , and your post is making me real hungry. Great stuff, thanks!.

Man, this is great!! I CAN'T WAIT!! Thanks, MickeyNicki!!!!!

I can provide feedback on 2 of the restaurants

San Angel Inn-- Loved the Mole Poblano - Grilled chicken breast served over a bed of chicken morsels, carrots, chayote chiles, with the classic sauce of spices and a hint of chocolate

Brown Derby (one of our favorites) -- We always order the Cobb Salad (we substitute the blue cheese with cheddar)--- it is a fantastic salad. Never had a bad entree (their entrees change quite often so hard to say what will be there when you travel)

Enjoy!

We have only eaten at two of them -- Brown Derby and Rose and Crown. We did not care for Brown Derby and have never gone back. We go to Rose and Crown every other year. We ate there in September. We've always enjoyed the Bangers and Mash, the Fish and Chips (although I thought the Fish was a little greasy last time), and my DH also really enjoyed the Shepherd's Pie. I loved the Chocolate Scotch Cake. :)

San Angel Inn:
We had the vegetarian combination plate with vegies, beans, rice, cheese enchilada, huge wet burrito; an appy of a wonderful tortilla soup with cheese and avacado and an incredible Mexican coffee that was sweet, creamy and cinnamoney, oh my was it yummy! Chips and salsa, and a lovely place for a restaurant with a great view!

Kona:
The macadamia crusted mahi-mahi is so flavorful and always cooked perfectly, the bread and butter are so delicious that it was hard not to fill up on it. We also had the Kona salad and it was one of the best salads I've ever had- a combination of lettuce and fruit and cheese and smoked almonds and a special vinaigrette dressing, so good with that bread! The kilauea torte is plate licking wonderful. Very nice food and great experience overall.

Rose and Crown:
Can't go wrong with the fish and chips, they are always so good! Also love the curry and samosas, and the potato and leek soup is a comforting bowl of yumminess. Stickey toffee pudding provides a wonderful bit of sweetness to end the meal! Great atmosphere, good place to be for illuminations viewing!
pixiedust:

had a favorite lunch at brown derby: crab cake appetizer, cobb salad entreee, and grapefruit cake dessert - all classics! (DH just sat there and watched me eat like a little piggie....)

San Angel Inn - RUN, run as fast as you can!

Kona has some wonderful desserts and fish. :)

Chefs de France--Assiete Campagnarde (French pate and charcuteries), duck, and their rhubarb/strawberry cobbler--don't see the cobbler thingy on the menu now though:confused3)

Marrakesh--Taste of Morocco

San Angel Inn--ate there three times and still haven't found anything any good--sorry!

Brown Derby--wasn't impressed with the food here either

Kona--volcano roll off the sushi menu:cloud9:, tuna oscar, banana chocolate creme brulee

Rose and Crown--mushroom appetizer (alas, no longer on the menu:sad2:, cheese plate, steak and fish, sticky toffee pudding

Tutto Italia--antipasto platter, fish with clams, copetta sotto bosco :cloud9: =best meal on property

OK so just got back on Monday and we ate at one of these. We went to Marrakesh and had a fantastic dinner. We had:
Appetiser to share which consisted of chicken Bastilla, beef Brewat & a salad with kind of a caesar dressing
I had the vegetable couscous and it was beautiful! I'm not a big fan of couscous but the stuff they make in there is light and flavoursome
My boyfriend had the beef shiskebab and that was equally lovely. It came with a beautiful hummus as well.
There was a set meal but it had lamb on it and I don't like lamb so we went for this instead.
We finished off with a fruit salad that was really good.

I have eaten at some of the other restaurants previously so these suggestions may be out of date:
Chefs de France - think I had lunch but I had the french onion soup which was beautiful, then I had the chicken meal which was very succulent and flavoursome and then the creme brulee which was fantastic.
San Angel Inn - Eaten there but didn't like any of it
Brown Derby - The Cobb Salad is amazing! It tastes wonderful. I also tried the steak there which was good. The vegetarian option here however (tofu noodle bowl) is awful so avoid it if you can
Kona - Cant remember what I had for dinner here but I know that there were 3 of us and we all had different and all loved them
Rose and Crown - I used to work here so have tried most of the food. The fish and chips is meant to be great (dont eat fish so never tried it). I have had the steak there and enjoyed it but I would say have anything with chips as these are by far the best thing on the menu.

Here's some pictures of our food at Kona. I don't have any pictures of our food at Tutto cause we inhale it when it gets to our table!:lmao:

Thank goodness we have a ADR there for our Jan. trip because my mouth is watering just from these pictures!!!LOL

Chefs de France-Shrimp and scallops, best scallops in the World!! Dessert was fabulous, but can't remember the name :)

Marrakesh-Always have a great time and meal here, try lots of different dishes.

San Angel Inn-Will make a trip here just for the ceviche! Super!

Brown Derby- Cobb salad all the way :)

Kona-Steak was great, shrimp never a dissapointment, creme' brulee out of this world!

Tutto Italia-DH loved the Pork chop, my pasta with Lumpmeat Crab was the best pasta I have had anywhere ever! Love the antipasto and bread that comes with the meal!

Every post (and pictures, YEAH!) is very, very helpful. :goodvibes

Only you all can imagine how much we're looking forward to our trip, and the restaurants we visit while we're there are a real big part of it. Of course, it's not just the food. We all know that in a blind tasting some of these places may not quite 'measure up to world standards' so to speak (ha ha!), but the magic that happens while there always makes it all so wonderful.

And now, with your very helpful hints about your favorites, it's going to make our food picks that much better!

Thanks!! I really appreciate it.:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Oh, and PLEASE , Keep the advice coming!

We ate at San Angel Inn this past week and decided we probably won't go back. Atmosphere is great, but food is just okay. We tried Coral Reef this past Thursday and will definitely go back there. DH and I had a table right up against the tank. Great seats, but there were two SCREAMING toddlers while we were there and who were not taken out until the parents were done eating. That I don't get, but Coral Reef was very good and we have it on our list for next time. Kona was packed when we went to Ohana for dinner last Sunday. We had breakfast at Kona on Monday-gotta have Tonga Toast!. We enjoy the restaurant. Even though it was slow most of last week, we still needed the ADR's we had everyday. We just didn't wait as long.
