Please tell me about your 1900 Park Fare dinner experiences

We loved the character interaction at dinner but thought the food was just so-so. For a character meal, they didn't have many kid-friendly options. I did love the strawberry soup, though!

As a heads up, our DD5 was a little intimidated by the step-mother & step-sisters. She was wearing a new shirt with the princesses & Tink on it. One of the step-sisters told her she had a huge stain on the back of her shirt, pointing to Tink. DD totally stressed out about it! We tried to explain what she meant but DD was just upset. She had just gotten the shirt in MK that very day. On the other hand, our older DDs (10 & 15 at the time) had an absolute blast, hamming it up with the steps! They were very much in character, which can be fun as long as the kids realize it. DD10 told one of the steps that she was way prettier than Cinderella & that got a HUGE reaction! Then one came into our little room singing, really bad opera singing. DD15 complimented her on her "beautiful voice" & that garnered us some extra attention as well.

My family loves 1900 Park Fare. The GF is absolutely beautiful. The buffet is great - plenty of choices and good food. The characters were awesome :) This is one of the few restaurants that are on my must do list.

We had a really great experience there last month . The caracters were awesome. The Prince danced with my girls and cinderella paid lots of attention to them. Anastasia started to scream at a kidd ofor taking the dessert she wanted and it was hilarious! We really had a good time. Lady tremaine was such a good sport trying to remain "mean" while my girls asked her all kinds of goofy questions and tou could tell it was taking everything in her power to not laugh. We will be going back there for sure in May. We had reservations at 8:15 pm and the food was really good. We all found something to eat and enjoy

We just returned from a trip last week and by far the highlight of our trip was the character interaction at 1900 Park Fare!

As others have mentioned - the food wasn't great and we waited longer to be seated than at any other ADR all week.

BUT - the Step Sisters more than made up for it. Our kids are older so the Princesses aren't such a big deal anymore. But Drusilla and Anastasia really made the evening fun.

We made sure they knew we were up to goofing around and they ran with it. Our 12 yo son got engaged to Drusilla to the delight of everyone except Anastasia who really would not stop pouting. Prince Charming came back to our table just to congratulate our son on the engagement and to tell him he looked forward to seeing him around the castle.

Lady Tremaine was a hoot although she seemed a bit toned down probably due to the fact that we were in a small back room surrounded by very small children. We noticed that she was very tender and gentle around the smaller children. She had fun with us but I suspect she would have let loose even more had we had more older kids at the neighboring tables.

I've only been here once, and really wasn't planning on returning (for dinner at least). I've been considering giving it another try, since Chef TJ is there now. One of my main complaints was that there were no interesting veggie options on the buffet, which he would surely take care of.

Besides the food being mediocre, it was the most hectic and noisy character meal I've been to. It took longer than any other meal I've been to for the characters to make their way around to each table, and we waited until well after we were done with our meals to see everyone. The characters were good, but not enough to make me want to return.

We were there on June 2 and the characters were wonderful. The food was okay not great. We waited 45 minutes past our ADR time, it just seemed like they were very unorganized that night.
