I don't have much interest in Halloween, but should I DH and I consider this? I don't know a thing about it, so enlighten me! Our next trip is Oct 15-23.
Don't know how much of a Disaholic you are but the Halloween Party was a great experience for our family! The scene is set when you walk through the train station and see that the lights are dimmed and there are hay bales and pumpkins all around. Cast Members are manning numerous candy stops for trick or treaters young or old, (you get a bag as you walk in the gate). Head over to one of the many stops in the many "lands" to get a family photo for each of you (it comes in the mail). Most rides are open and the lines are shorter since it's a hard ticket event. There are readings of Washington Irving's "the headless horseman" story in Liberty Square and watch out, the Horseman himself leads off the special Halloween parade complete with grave diggers from the Haunted Mansion. Oh yeah, there is also a special showing of Wishes with a "different" opening twist! So yes, I'd say it's worth it!
Do you remember trick or treating as a kid? Well, speaking as an adult, it was so awesome to get to trick or treat again. It's not just for the kids. The parade is fantastic. I highly recommend this event!
It is a blast. We went on a Sunday and could practically walk right onto any ride. The parade is great. Loved the candy also. I've never seen so many Princess in one place!
No, there is no way that DH would dress up, I was shocked that he wore a Pirates shirt, totaly out of character for him. Our kids dressed up but not us. Comfort is the key!
We always get the Halloween shirts from either Target or Old Navy. The kids usually wear the Old Navy Halloween PJ's. Comfort is the most important. IF your children like to be in the spotlight, then have them wear a costume so they can be in the mini parades.
Did it in 2004, doing it again in 2005, wouldn't miss it. Again, anyone who hasn't had the opportunity, find out when and where the storyteller is appearing, his rendition of the Headless Horseman is second to none, I had to hear it twice.
