I am planning on a dinner here before our Illuminations Cruise and have a few questions.

Do all the booths have tv's in them?

Do they still have video games at the tables?

Are both of these together at the tables...or are the booths?

I already know about the bathrooms but I read about....I think...trivia games...and other stuff done live?

Can they seat a party of 8 at the booths that have the games because it would certainly keep the children occupied!!!

How many can play the games at the same time and.....

last but not least....

where is the arcade I've read about located....IN ESPN or do you have to go outside to get to it....I am trying to figure out if it is okay for my kids to hang there a little while so hubby and I can hang out with our Orlando friend a little while.

THANKS!!!!!!!!!!

The ESPN CLUB is the prototype of the ESPN Zone. Not all the booths have TVs. Just the ones in the bar area. Video games? I don't think you can play video games in the booths unless the Club has been updated in the last year. The arcade is part of the Club right next to the store. It does have its own entrance and you cannot see in there from the restaurant. I know last year it seems they had expanded the store and there wasn't much variety in games...

But out of all the restaurants, other than Beaches and Cream at The Y and B Club, ESPN is probably your best bet before your cruise.

Yes. But the booths are only in the lounge.

Just the booths.

Booths

The is one corner circular booth that handles a larger party. We had a party of 6 in a regualr booth and it worked with 4 of us beeing Pooh sized.

I've only seen them with one controller.

I think you and hubby will bo OK in the ESPN with kids in the arcade. It it attached and a short walk to check if you feel the need.

Keep in mind that the booths with the TVs and video games are only in the bar area which is the smoking area and is first come first served ONLY. They cannot seat you at these tables you kind of have to either happen upon them or 'stalk' them. This can be next to impossible during football season or any other big sports events, so be sure to check what's going on when you're planning to be there and allow enough time to wait for a table.

The non-smoking section where they do seat you, there is a line that you must wait on to be seated, like at a club. They do not take your name and call for you or give you a pager or anything like that.

Are reservations needed at espn ?? I am traveling alone and just want to sit at the bar to eat and drink.

No reservations needed. Fairly easy to walk in and sit at bar and have a casual meal.

Our kids did the video games and they were ok. With this many kids, you might have the problem of "when is it my turn". I would just do the main seating area. With most things disney, your senses can be bombarded. There is usually enough things going on to keep the kids going until meal is finished. The kids could color at the table. watch countless tvs. Take the trip to the bathroom and check out what everyone's talking about. I would then take them over to the arcade. Just give them enough money to keep them occupied.:bounce:

I hope that this does not offend anyone - but I really was surprised to see TV's in the lady's restroom. I thought it was just the radio piped in until I looked up...it made me laugh out loud. Again, sorry if this post was in poor taste.

PammyPooh - you are not offensive! LOL! Nice to see someone so concerned about others' feelings!

Thanks for this thread - we are also thinking of ESPN before an Illuminations cruise. I think DH would get a kick out of it. Plus I heard they have a good Bloody Mary Chili. Anyone have that?
