We are going in August on the DXDP. Our plan is to spread our 8 nights worth of meals over 9 days and to do a breakfast/early lunch along with a signature restaurant most nights. So far, we would really like to do California Grill, Narcossees, Citricos, CRT(breakfast or lunch), and Yachtsman. The menu for Artist Point looks yummy, and it would be nice to eat in the Wilderness Lodge; however, I read the review posted on this site and am having second thoughts. Can any of you who have eaten there tell me what your experiences were like?

One of the best Disney restaurants IMO. Ceder Plank Salmon is always very good and the beef tenderloin with a blue cheese fritter is excellent. Service can be a little slow but who cares when you have nothing else to do? Wine list is extensive and overall we always look forward to our meals there.

We think the food at Artist Point is pretty good but we do not like the decor/feel of the restaurant at all. I think that most people who say they don't like Artist Point, say it for that reason rather than the food.

It's definitely one of the quieter signatures.

My sister and I ate here in March and had a very nice time. We're both originally from Washington state and living elsewhere now so we really enjoyed the ambiance of the Wilderness Lodge and Artist Point. We had no problems with service and the food was delicious. We shared two appetizers and an entree and were very full afterward. My only issue was that I think the items we ordered were too rich. But that's our fault, not the restaurant's. While they all tasted wonderful separately, together it was a little overwhelming. I would definitely go back again.

well, I for sure haven't been there in a while, but my fam and I have nothing but good things to say about Artist Point.....

and that's even after one time the podium forgot that we were waiting for a table...for an HOUR! They really took care of us, and it was still really cool :)

I agree with Pakey. It's a nice restaurant and we've had several good meals there. But it fits in TOO well with the Wilderness Lodge theme--it has a Lewis and Clark look to it.

It's been a few years since we've eaten there, but we've always had really good experiences!! The food was great, service was gracious and helpful, and I actually like the atmosphere. It has a nice, clean look to it.

The smokey portabello mushroom soup is to die for....really yummy!!!

The best meal of my WDW trip last month was at Artist Point. The salad I had to start with was excellent- a champagne vinigrette dressing with candied nuts. The salmon was to die for and the cobbler dessert was excellent. All around the best meal I had and I am normally a steak lover.

We just had a wonderful meal there 2 weeks ago. The cedar plank salmon was wonderful. My husband said his steak melted in his mouth and my dad finished every bite of his buffalo. We had the wild boar appetizer and it was the best thing I ate (although my meal was amazing this appetizer was even more so). We thought it was beautiful but we got one of the few window viees in the place. We looked out over the waterfall at WL and it was an amazing night. Good service- although we took our time with the meal (we wanted to) and spent 2 hours really enjoying the atmosphere and each other.
