Hi All,

This is our first visit to WDW and I have a couple of questions I was hoping someone might know (and share) the answer to! Please!

We are going January of 2015 and staying our first 8 nights at POR, then 3 nights at a Universal hotel and then 5 nights at GFV.
Total of 16 nights. I have purchased APs over the phone and was given a confirmation number.

1) I understand that at 180 days I can phone and book for first 10 days of our trip. When can I make reservations for day 11 thru 16? Do I have to do those last days one day at a time as I reach the 180 day mark for each one?

2) When I purchased the APs over the phone from Disney they told me all I need is a confirmation number which they gave to me verbally. The charge was definitely put through on my credit card and I was able to register the confirmation number on MDE. I find it odd that you don't receive any sort of confirmation email or receipt. Then on a subsequent call to Disney I was told my someone else that they would be mailing me a voucher (I'm in Canada). Does anyone know if I will be mailed something? And If they do mail you something do you have to take that somewhere before you can check into your hotel? Go on rides? Or is it all automatically registered somehow on your magic bands that you get when you arrive at your first hotel? I hope I'm making sense.... I know I'm confused on this one. :confused3

1. 180 days before Day #11 you can make Dining Reservations for Day 11 through Day 16 as it is a separate (new) reservation.

2. Link the Confirmation # to your MDE account. Your MagicBands will also be linked to your MDE account as well as your FPs.
 
How long ago did you purchase the APs by phone? How long ago did you make the hotel reservations?

here is what happens:

1) Link your confirmation #s for hotels and APs to MDE. You can manage family member tickets or they can have their own accounts and you all link up.

2) You receive your hotel confirmation by email or snail mail. Make sure it is correct.

3) You will get notices in MDE to customize your Hotel magicbands (names and color) and confirm your mailing address. Do this before the deadline. Then they ship these about a month before you arrive if you are in the US, or you pick up at hotel if outside the US.

4) You receive your AP vouchers by mail if you requested it, or by will call when you arrive if you requested it that way. If you are unsure, call back and find out using your WILS number. That is a voucher card you must present at a ticket window (no longer limited to guest services) to get your actual RFID card Annual Pass.

5) After you first use your APs, you will get a new notice in MDE to customize another set of magicbands, which will ship soon after you customize them and confirm your mailing address. You can use these bands on your next visit. Actually you can use any bands issued to you for any visit as long as you have an active ticket associated with your name in MDE.

All clear now? Probably not.

I purchased the APs about a month ago.
Hotel reservations were made quite some time before that.

I did get the APs and hotel reservations linked on MDE and that was reassuring.
We are in Canada so I'm assuming we will get our magic bands at the first hotel when we arrive.

I will definitely call back again and ask about the AP vouchers. The lady on the reservation line told me I wouldn't be getting anything like that but then when I was talking to someone in their I.T. department (for an unrelated question) they told me I should expect to get a voucher. It just left me a little nervous about what I have to do when we first arrive. If I understand what you are telling me correctly I will get AP vouchers (either by mail or at the hotel when we arrive). Then the first time we enter the parks I just give them that voucher and I will get some sort of pass that is in addition to the magic bands?
