Please share your experiences flying Airtran out of Detroit :0)

We have always flown Airtran...but out of Flint. Well...I just booked it out of DTW for our upcoming trip as it was close to $200 cheaper...significant enough for us. I've heard people complain about Airtran and them changing their flight times...but we have yet to experience that. Please share your experiences...I hope I made a wise choice!

We ended up in the same situation as you this past week. We usually fly out of Flint, but DTW was a lot cheaper at the time we booked. It was ok, but Flint is still much nicer. We really missed our normal flight times (non-stop both ways), and our little small airport. It would have been a lot easier and cheaper to park at Flint.

Because our flight took off at 6 am, we ended up getting a room close to the airport so we could sleep a little longer, and allow the full 2 hours to get through security and checking our luggage.

I can't say anything really bad about the experience, but it just wasn't our nice, little Flint airport.
