So many of you here know Rachel aka minniemouse440044, and some of you may also know that she lives in Tennesse. Rachel has been severely effected by the flooding that you have probably heard about.

She had to evacuate her house and could only bring a few items with her (only a few articles of clothing) which she then put on a raft then went to a neighbors house who lives on higher ground. There is no way for her to get out of her neighborhood, she is completely stuck there. All she could bring was some clothes and her phone.

At the time of her evacuation her first floor of her house was submerged in over 3 feet of water and the last time I spoke with her (earlier today) she said her garage was almost totally covered. She has lost basically everything. Her furniture is floating around her neighborhood and even items such as her refigerator.

Please, please keep her in your thoughts & prayers as well as all of the others effected. Rachel needs some serious prayers and pixie dust right now! Thank you!

I was thinking about her today. I'm in Middle Tennessee too (no damage here, but a tornado touched down on the other side of town) I was wondering if she's okay. I'm really sorry to hear that her house was damaged. Thats just awful.

She wanted me to thank you for thinking of her. And yeah, its just so terrible i feel so bad!

At first I thought this was a joke, because Rachel is always so funny and it seems like something that only happens in movies.

Then I saw the news.

I'm terribly sorry, Rachel. You, your family, and your entire community will be in my prayers. I hope you and everyone can stay safe, or even be evacuated ASAP. Everything else is replaceable, YOU are not! Stay safe, tons of hugs, love ya girl!

Rachel, you and your family and your neighbourhood will be in my thoughts. Be safe.

That's awful! I can't imagine how terrible that must be. Prayers and pixie dust for Rachel! I hope everything gets better soon

hey everyone, i am so thankful that i have such a strong support system from everyone. this has been such a tough year, starting with self issues ive been having, to cutting my head open, to my brother needing an mri scan, now to this.

when i woke up saturday morning i looked ou hte window to only the creek in my back yard being over flood. an hour later the bridge by my house was soon unseeable from the water covering it, sonya at first i thought it was cool and funny saying "this is awesome!" boy was i wrong! it went from me and some neighborhood children playing in the water at first to us evacuating.

the water rose quickly, luckily we brought our tv, entertainement center, speakers, chairs and anything else we could upstairs, so all that was downstairs was our couches, which were new, boooks, and a bunch of memoriblea of family albums and pictures.

sunday afternoon we were evacuated around one in the afternoon with 4 feet of water in our downstiars and about 5 feet outside. we were in my moms room with her because believe it or not, my dad was outside helping our neighbors house who caught on fire. we had about 5 men on our street come help us leave. we finally made it out with 2 bags of clothing, our needs in our purses, and our dog, bear, who is probly on the verge of freaking out right now.

so sunday and monday we stayed at my neighbor who lives in the front of the neighborhoods house with no power. it was our family and another faimly, and 5 dogs staying at their home, we are so grateful that they opened their home to us. but now my family is staying aat their aunt and uncles home which is has power, air, and water.

this whole thing has been pretty freaky, you never think that this will actually happen to you, until it does. you just dont know what is going to happen, because we have nothing now. we have no stationed home, everything down there was lost, my parents said the countertops were taken off the counters, the fridge was floating down there, the cabinates are ruined, the flooring got tore up, the widnows broken, mold, other terrible things to. ill post some pictures of whaqt i took before we left:

this is before it got in our house, it quickly rose over the deck in a matter of 40 mintutes.

Rachel, I am so sorry that this has happened to you and your family! You guys must be devastated, but I hope you're able to stay strong! I'm really glad you're all safe though, I know it will take a long time for all of this to be over, but you & your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. Stay safe girl :grouphug:

thanks guys, today i am going to our home to help clean it out. i know it will be tough and emotional, but it is something i need to do. ill keep you updated as much as i can.

once again, your care and concern means the world to me.

thank you,

Rach, I've been following your posts and pictures on facebook.

My aunt lives in Nashville, and we haven't heard from them since the flood so we're praying everything's okay with them. They live around the southwest part of Nashville (I THINK).

We heard that they wasn't canceling the CMA Fest, etc but my mom says when we go, we'll spend most of our time volunteering to help clean up, so let me know if there's anything y'all need help with, the second week of June!

I'm so sorry Rachel! It will be a big cleanup but things will be ok. I can't believe how powerful mother nature really is. It still amazes me.

You and your family and area are in my prayers.

I hope you can get everything cleaned up and back to normal (as much as possible) soon... You and all the others in your area are in my prayers  stay safe, and stay strong.. I wish you all the best :)

Just remember: we're all here for you :grouphug:

Best of wishes! :)

Oh my goodness, I'm so sorry this happened to you! You and your family and everyone going through this are truly very brave. Best of luck :grouphug:
