Fellow DIS Board users, PLEASE search the forums for your question or issue BEFORE you post a new thread! By doing this, we can stop the 18 threads on refillable mugs, 10 threads on CRO experiences, and 8 threads on laptop security.

By searching the forum BEFORE you post, you will also help those of us who come to the boards looking for a specific piece of information by not forcing us to read 5 threads ont he same topic looking for our answer.

Newbies!!! They're so funny!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Some people that are new don't even know that you can do a search. Some people just want to ask it themselves!I hope I dont come across as sounding rude but if you see 5 threads about refillable mugs you dont have to open them. Why does it bug you so much? :confused3

Sorry but it seems kind of strange to me that you have 12 posts and are telling people what they should and shouldn't do on these boards. If youdon't want to read a thread don't open it.

Disneymomx7,

I wasn't by any stretch of the imagination "telling people what they should and shouldn't do..." I was in fact only making a request as someone who frequently is looking to the resorts, theme parks, and dining boards for information and ideas as I plan my honeymoon.

ALso, to address the issue of, If i don't wnat to read about mugs don't open the thread. The mug was only one example of doing a keyword search on a topic I DID want to read about, and pulling up several posts on the same topic and having to read through each one, rather then being able to read through one long post about the topic.

TO answer folks who said that new threads allow for new ideas, IF you reply to an existing thread, then it bumps that thread to the top of the list, allowing LOTS of people to read it. Even if you have your settings set to only show unread threads, if there is a new post it will show up.

ANyways, I was just trying to relay some experience to this board in relation to my long standing experiences on lots of other message boards where this same issue has come up time and time again.

BTW, thank you to all of you who have wished me luck in my planning, have agreed with me, or just offered your own positive or even constructive responses.

Thank you all for your responses and have a VERY magic Day!

Welcome to the Dis!

Don't know if you've noticed yet, but if you 'hover' over the subject line, you can usually get a pretty good idea of what a thread is about prior to opening it. Yeah, we do get quite a few threads on the same subject, but c'mon, they're entertaining! Go buy a guidebook if you want some quick info. If you want FUN, you've found the place! :Pinkbounc

Not exactly the same thing. But if I see another "Is the dining plan worth it?" thread on the restaurant boards, I'm going to scream!

It's an impossible question to answer. Too many different scenarios.

One thing that I have noticed is that yes there may be 10 threads on how to keep cool in the summer heat, say the last one was 2 weeks ago. Maybe since then someone new has joined DIS boards, with a totally new great idea. To me, it is worth wading through the repetitive post for that new great idea that someone else may not have thought of. :disrocks:

I'm going to lock this thread now. It doesn't really have anything to do with resorts, and has turned into a bit of a debate.
