Please review Itinerary for trip

Hello everyone, I've been reading these boards for a while now planning my Disney trip for next week. There is 10 of us and we'll be going 12/1 thru 12/5. I was seeing if someone could review our Itinerary and answer a few questions. Thanks.

Wednesday 12/1:

4:30PM-8:00PM MGM Studios, miss Fantasmic to see more attractions

8:40PM-Dinner at Ohana


Thursday 12/2:

9:00AM-5:00PM Universal Studios and Islands of Adventures

7:30PM-12AM Mickeys Xmas Party

Friday 12/3:

9:00AM-2:00PM Downtown Disney/Disney Quest

2:30PM-9:30PM Epcot

Saturday 12/4:

9:00AM-2:00PM- Animal Kingdom

7:00PM catch Fantasmic

8:00PM-12AM Magic Kingdom


1. Fantasmic starts at 6:30PM on 12/1 with MGM closing at 8:00PM. Will all the attracations be open while Fantasmic goes on?

2. I've been reading alot about crowds getting bigger around December dates. Do you think our dates will be affected with huge crowds? Thank you and its hard to believe I only have 9 days left.

I think that you are going to be exhausted. I would skip O'Hana's that first day and stay to do Fantasmic and something you haven't mentioned- Osborne lights. Yes the attractions will be open until the park closes at 8.

Not sure if you are aware of this but you can enter MK as early as 4 with your party ticket which could eliminate your second trip to MK.

Then I would combine AK/Epcot into one day and Universal/ DD/ DQ the other day. Just trying to cut down on all the jumping around.

Just my own opinion but either way have an awesome time.

I'm sure all of the attractions will be open and running until the park's closing.

Leaving MGM at 8pm with 10 people and making an 8:40 PS at O'hana will be tight.

Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure in one 9-5 day is really pushing it. Each park alone can easily fill a day.

Are there any little kids in your group? This schedule seems ambitious for anyone, but especially kids. I'd make a few changes like Hockey Mom said, or even:

Wednesday 12/1:

4:30PM-8:00PM MGM Studios, stay to see Fantasmic, skip Ohana

Thursday 12/2:

9:00AM-2:00PM Downtown Disney/Disney Quest

4:00pm -12AM Mickeys Xmas Party (could also have an early ps at Ohana and then head to party)

Friday 12/3:

9:00AM-5:00PM Universal
(another possible night for a later ps at Ohanas)

Saturday 12/4:

9:00AM-2:00PM- Animal Kingdom
2:30PM-9:30PM Epcot


Of course, you lose Sat. night at the MK, which may be important depending what you want to see.
