I e-mailed 2 days ago to dvc members site and was promised a reply within 3 days.Iam still waiting.

HI Everyone,
I just wanted you to know that I just hung up from Jackie at DVC.
She wanted me to know that it was "their intent" to have 2 queens in the dedicated 2 bedroom units at BCV, and that it was as much of a surprise to them as it was to us when it didn't happen. She said there was a miscommunication somewhere along the lines, not sure where, and they are taking steps to rectify the situation. She should it will be a few months! Isn't that great????
I am really impressed that she got back to me so quickly. I just mailed my letter on Monday!
So it did pay to voice our concerns, IMHO. Who knows? If no one had complained, perhaps they would have just let it go!!!
Jackie also said she is sending me an email that I can forward to all of you - oh wait! It's here already!!

Dear Stephanie,

It was great speaking with you.

It was our intention that the second bedroom of the 78 dedicated 2-bedroom
Vacation Homes at DISNEY'S BEACH CLUB VILLAS would have two queen-size beds.
When the furniture was placed in the rooms, it became apparent that this was not
the case, so we undertook steps to rectify the situation. Additional queen-size
beds and bedding are being ordered for the second bedroom of the dedicated
2-bedroom Vacation Homes and we plan to change out the rooms as soon as the
custom-made furniture and bedspreads, wall sconces, etc. have been received. We
apologize that this situation occurred, and are working to provide the bedding
that we had originally intended for these rooms. We will provide updates as to
the furniture replacement schedule on the member web site (dvcmember.com)

about the placement of the door to that 2nd bedroom, to see why some are in the front and some by the sliders. If anyone else gets a phone call, could you ask, just for curiosity's sake?

Wow, this is great news. While being so very excited about my add-on, I was getting very disappointed about the 2-bedroom thing. I wonder just how long it will take them to receive everything and actually make a change. That might make a difference in where some folks book their vacations.

I wonder what they'll be doing with all those sofabeds? Putting them in storage? I guess they will need them eventually!

We just returned from WDW on Tuesday and didn't get a chance to view the models at the BCV...though we were at the BC several times, it was always after 5! From the outside they look nice, though I'm not a huge fan of the turquoise color they used....a peach or pink color would have looked better next to the blue of the main hotel. Can't wait to get a look at the inside of one on our next trip!

I recieved a e-mail and phone call too from dvc member services.The news was basically that which is posted abouve,that a mistake was made and they plan to switch back to 2 queen sized beds.I really like their honesty...to bad other companies are not as forth right with their investers! Oh I asked when change will be made and will post response when recieved.

I received a call also, I was told that it will take a couple of months since the bedspreads are custom made.

I was told that the slider doors that people are talking about at the BCV are only in ten units and that they had to do so because of the physical location of those particular units.

sent a certified letter to rilous carter about the "vwl handicap" issue on june 28 by certified mail
and it still has not been delivered ...since they need a signature on certified and no one seems to be signing for mail at disney ( or so it seems )

they have record of it being mailed in buffalo.....but nothing since

by sending it certified , thought it would make it easier to track and make sure they got it...as of today at noon ......all it says on the tracking screen is that it was accepted in buffalo june 28, 2002 at 8:50 am and is not dlivered yet since no one has signe off for it

I was told by Jackie that there are 15 of the rooms with the 2nd bedroom door next to the slider. 5 Lock-off 2 bedrooms and 10 Dedicated 2 bedrooms. She did mention that it is because of the physical location of the bedroom as well, possibly a store room located next to it or a corner location.

This wasn't as big of a concern for me, the bigger concern was the queen beds and that is being rectified. I am so excited.

Okay, maybe I just have a suspicious mind, but let me share my thoughts with you... I'm glad that they are rectifying the situation, BUT, who is paying for this fix? How many of you think our dues will be increased to offset the costs of this "mistake" ? After all, someone has to pay for all the new items and the retro-fitting of the rooms...

Those costs should be paid by the developer.... though someone may want to clarify this with someone at DVC to be sure members aren't footing the bill.

First of all, I am very happy for all the BCV owners that this worked out well.

As another poster mentioned, they will need the sofa beds at some later replacement date, so storage seems like a good idea. This would also solve the problem of how to pay for the queen beds.

Hopefully, DVD will absorb the cost since it was their mistake. Otherwise, members should only be held responsible for refurnishing of units that are declared memory inventory. Does anyone know the number of dedicated two-bedroom units and how many are member inventory at this point in time?

There are 78 dedicated 2 bedroom units. I don't know how many are declared.
